Someone just picked them up! I live in SC and am glad someone will be using them!! Unfortunately, I'll only be getting down for FSU so will be letting go of the rest. Thankfully made it to Canesville!

I’m hoping for a good crowd but knowing this market I’m expecting an attendance disaster. Which is a shame. No Sunday Dolphin game in theory should help but I can see this one being passed over by a lot of the season ticket holders

Based on the Miami website, I don't think it's going to be a well attended game. Which is so **** unfortunate.

Yeah as soon as we left HR Saturday I said to my friends the same. It’s going to be **** empty and for no reason. UM needs to spend more marketing these **** games with giveaway tickets or something.

I understand people want the rock packed and that Cam was disappointed in the attendance. Realistically though who is going to watch us blow out FAMU and Ball State? There's so much to do in Miami which is what people who hate on Miami attendance from outside the program don't get. It should look better if we continue winning and get into conference play. Bama as an example, what the **** are you about to do on a Saturday in **** Tuscaloosa? Nothing, except go to the game.

Where did you see Cam was disappointed?

Also I’m so sick of hearing this argument every time lol it’s 1000° outside so yes there are options but right now it’s insufferable to be outside so half the activities are gone.

Upper deck visitor side going to be empty

I agree, and even Bama does not sell out those cupcake games and the stadium is empty by half, I remember Saban *****ing about it a few years ago and calling out fans.

For Miami, no we arent going to sell out for these types. I do think if we are good and even if FSU or VTech suck we will still get a good crowd.

I think Miami needs to be more creative getting people in the stands. I would love to see some type of program where X amount of tickets are free if they are not used by Thursday prior to the game. Give them to non-profit and youth leagues, get some young kids going to the games just to fill the seat. I think of it like the airplane analogy. If there is a seat left open on the plane, it is likely going to cost you a bottle of water and a pack of peanuts to fill that seat. The plane is already going to X destination, gas already paid for, the overhead of one more person is paltry so might as well get them on the plane and make something

That is my thought here. Get them in the stands and they will for sure buy some drinks and maybe food and just help the overall atmosphere. The game is being played regardless so it cost the Stadium nothing to have a few extra people there.

I agree with the reality being that Miami is never going to fill the stadium in these games. But the other side of the whole big city argument is that there are what, 6 million people in the Miami metro? It’s a little crazy that 50,000 can’t be bothered to go support the teams down there, especially when tickets are dirt cheap.

Yes, there’s nothing to do in Tuscaloosa. But I also know TONS of people that drive 4+ hours for every home game and pay out the *** (relative to the price of Miami tickets). Miami will never fill the stadium, I fully understand everything that causes that. But I also see more and more of the “I’m not going to watch Ball State, I’ll watch at home/a bar” which is a mindset the big SEC fanbases just don’t have.

Bama and other SEC teams get the benefit of the away team filling their allotment, and often even more. Same for the NFL.

We almost never have that. The only away fans that bring anyone are Clemson and FSU.

It's a different calculus. Apples and oranges, and a very tired conversation.

Couple of my guys are flying to Wisconsin to watch Bama win a game by three touchdowns. Tickets expensive as ****, flights expensive as ****. Doesn’t matter.

It truly is a super weak home schedule this year. Getting 2/3 for the games not FSU or Va Tech will be a chore.

All of that sounds great, but the fact is that almost 58,000 tickets were sold vs. FAMU. How many of those remaining tickets does UM control? So, while I like your idea, the school isn't necessarily in a position to "give away" that remainder.
