I usually never say this but... who?

Is this the Canes were talking about? Am I on the right board?
 
It's at moments like this, that I wish that Ace had migrated over from grassy. That way he could clarify if guys like David Thompson and Witt are considered "counters" toward the 85 limit.

Witt does not count towards the 85 - pretty sure he will get a medical hardship.

Thompson I'm unclear about, but I think he is on Baseball scholly until he plays in a game for football - not sure though.

By next season, Witt and Thompson won't count toward the football 85, fo sho. When those take effect, I guess, is something ace would be able to answer.
 
Opens up a valuable ship, if the NCAA doesn't hold the 2013 class down.

It all has to do with whether you received any FB aid for '12-'13.

I don't think Witt was in fall camp, so he should receive a medical hardship scholarship and not count against the 85 this year.

Thompson came in on a football scholarship and will count against the 85 limit for this year. If he switches to baseball for next year, then he won't count against the 85 until he plays in a game.

Davis and Alexis received aid (room and board during fall camp). They will count against the 85 limit for the entire academic year (only guys who have graduated already or will graduate after the 1st semester may be removed at mid year), but won't count against the 85 for '13-'14. The fact that they count for the entire year limits the # of EEs tha you can have.

Excellent news. We'll be at 20 'ships available for 2013 in no time which is what I predicted...
 
This is not good... I mean dude didnt belong here nor does wells. and a few other dudes.............. Thing is if we get hit with samctions. soon. we will need as many players on our team right now for depth...

if somebody doesn't belong here, how is it bad that they move on and we free up scholarships for next year to sign players who (hopefully) do

and yes, I read the depth part

What i mean irvin is we will get scholarship reductions next year meaning we wont have 85 wcholarship players with players like v davis and alexis leaving...Were gonna be short on players for scout team and just overall depth... we wont be able to sign more players next year because were gonna have scholarship reductions...
