June 2nd camp updates

some people here post the dumbest things

You're obviously not a parent & don't know **** about raising a kid.

im not following

nobody else is either, don't worry about it

You shouldn't call people dumb when you yourself aren't smart enough to get the point. Outside of the pony I was making, I do understand the recruiting game & why guys are allowed to observe & not participate. A guy like Michael Johnson, who doesn't have an offer, is now sitting & observing & then will ***** about why he doesn't have an offer. I'm sure he's a great player & the fan dude of me wished he had his offer but for him to not participate bothers me. Maybe he has everything worked out with Golden & will get his offer. Who knows but from face value I don't like it.

I didn't call anyone anything. I see your point but your post was one of those ridiculous message board insults that pop up here and there without any basis or reasoning.

Not about need, it's about being a competitor

The elite kids have nothing to prove. Just the fact some of these kids are there and interacting with the staff is good enough for me.
And this is how entitlement begins...

Stop.

What do Lane, Dixon, Yearby, and Valentine have to prove? They already have offers and have produced for their respective teams.
It has nothing to do with the offer but just maybe they might actually learn something while being out there. That's the point. They're getting perched up as a celebrity while being out there instead participating & possibly learning something. Day 1 of D1 College Football guess who's back to little fish in the food chain. What would Ray Lewis say to this?

You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Would you rather these kids overslept and missed out on a chance to interact with the staff?

Who cares what Ray Lewis would say, he isn't on staff. 100% of kids at these camps only saw Ray in the NFL.

Why can't Golden do a camp on Greentree instead of the cow pasture. Is that an NCAA regulation that prevents the use of Greentree for a camp?

It's on the intramural fields not greentree

Either way it is an embarassement that UM a leading FBS school would put kids they are trying to impress on any shabby field like that. I am hoping its just a small part of the field, Greentree is usaully better kept. I am glad the new facilities are finished that will definitely help. That pic would just support other schools claims about UM's poor facilities.

Go Canes

This. I'm guessing the kidpnapper from Cleveland had a better looking backyard than these fields.

I've always thought the footing looks horrible in practice videos also, players constantly slipping to the ground (one-on-ones almost look useless because no one can get traction).

i wasnt talking about your posts, i was talking about in general, so next time before you be all high and mighty make sure who and what im talking about

“@KhairiClark: Was suppose to attend the Al Golden Football camp but I overslept”

you really think this kid would oversleep for a nick saban camp?

Nope, and I'm sure some guys on here who think so highly of Clark are saying he's an elite D1 prospect so who cares he doesn't need to go.

No ******* false, this is more of a sign of his character. Don't bull**** me with he's just a kid type **** it happens, Im a kid who played D1 college lacrosse, I went through the recruiting process, I went through attending coaches camps and recruiting showcases. When your giving your word to coaches and adults you give your word you will be attending there. I could never imagine my father allowing me to commit to a camp and then "over sleeping" it's just ridiculous.

If our ****** university of Miami coaches are 100% ok with kids coming and not competing why do all of you have a problem with it? The coaches have seen the players, and personally tell them come to the camp & interact with players, staff, & view the campus.

It's not even about how good the kids are who are not participating. It's about the fact these kids not anticipating have an opportunity literally right in front of them to get really good work in on their craft. Where they will be getting one on one coaching from new people who might teach them something new. Them sitting there on the sideline says to me " I'm good enough I don't need to get better"

Real prospect never stop, they are working non stop, ow the **** you going to go attend a football camp and not want to participate, like how can you say you love football and sit there watching kids your age and your same playing field ad not want to compete with them no matter what your name or position ranking on the ******* espn 150 is

I see your points Burr & Cash on the camps and Khairi Clark but I disagree. Different POVS will always see a situation with a different light. Agree to disagree

well put, the difference is though the demand at current better programs is the difference of why joker kids can pull this off at a school that went 7-5 with a desperate need for DT. clearly this kid thinks he has the upper hand at miami and that we should roll out the red carpet for him. wouldn't be surprised if al looked in a different direction, not saying he will but wouldn't be surprised as these are the kind of kids that blandy and coker would still pursue and be the inmates that run the prison once they got to campus.

Twitter is both a blessing and a curse for this stuff.

We wouldn't even know anything about it if he didn't tweet it, but we're already running with it.

Lots of reasons for kids to come out but not participate and we don't know what the coaches asked either.

When I was growing up, my parents just didn't give me $50 every weekend either. I had to make choices on what I wanted to do. I also imagine some of the kids having even less money than I did growing up.

Let it play out...lots of time to go.
