Judd Anderson Film Breakdown by Stevo

Always great to see LCE shattering people’s fake realities. He is Morpheus waking people up from the matrix. How they convinced themselves that our QB situation outside of TVD isn’t a dumpster fire is the real wonder though.

Very raw.

Highlight breakdows are great and all, but unless the player is a beast, he'd be better served breaking down a game. That would tell the true story and take far more time of course. Highlights you're going to see good things by and large. It doesn't tell much for the QB position, hardly anything at all.

He had a grand total of 3 good games at Miami.

He then went JUCO, USF & transferred to Alabama A&M; he never started a game at USF or Alabama A&M.

I think that encapsulates his “talent”.
Talent or work ethic? Think he has talent but would rather take part in extracurricular stuff instead of working on his game.

I am not here to dump on Malik, but I can't help notice Malik is not "not dogpoop" in your list.

Are you saying winning 10 games in the ACC makes a QB good, or are you not classifying Malik but leaning on the results (of the ~80 other dudes besides him). If so, I'll just note DJ Uiagalelei, won 10 regular season games in the ACC as a terrible, dogpoop QB.

Again, no QB is a hit until they get their clock cleaned by a Bosa, dust themselves off and stand strong in the pocket the rest of the game. Even garbage time won't show you that. I remember watching Martell's garbage time play for Taint vs Rutgers (I think) and thinking we had landed our next great QB.
I knew tate sucked don't give a **** what he did in HS or the stars he had. For me that was an obvious one. Zero arm small quick but not explosive. I was more interested to see him in the slot, after that he was done.

Here's the thing: Based on how our offense has performed over the past 10 years, how can anyone expect us to recruit decent QBs? Like, lets get real. We've averaged 30+ points on offense five times since 2010. We haven't had a QB being drafted in the first three rounds in this millenium! It took us until 2021 to get rid of the Bro Style and play 21st century offense. And now, for the first time in the programs history, despite all of the athletic ability this hotbed named South Florida has, we got a OC from the Air Raid tree.

Please explain to me, under all these circumstances, how we're supposed to recruit a overly talented QB who hits the ground running early. There is nothing to sell and nothing to show for. It's like recruiting CBs under Manny: How is that supposed to work when the defense that you are playing is utter dog****? Kids aren't stupid. They have parents, HS coaches, handlers and teammates in their ear all the time and some of them know a thing or two about football.

Produce on the field and collect the talent.

We can produce the best product ever and still have bad evaluations at qb, i think you are combining two different issues. We have landed some good rated qbs but we just haven’t hit on any of them except one.

And we are seeing with this cycle that u can recruit passed your record and performance, we have 2 high rated receivers after putting up 1940 offensive numbers. Manny didn’t land good cbs and lbs because he was a bad recruiter and evaluator (and he surrounded himself with the same), his defenses were good when he got here but as time went on the recruiting and evaluating side is the reason he failed.

Every time we produced an offense, the rating of the QB we recruited got higher. Everytime we didn't... well.

Malik “winning” 10 games is a ridiculous argument. Go back and watch the games. Those wins weren’t because of him. He had no business being a P5 QB.

Developmental guys are fine if you’ve already got someone a bit more proven on the roster. Rhett Lashlee took Jacurri Brown, knowing full well he was a multi year project because he had two guys he felt were capable to hold down the position for at least the next two seasons. Right now, we have nobody capable if/when TVD leaves after this season. We’re in the situation where we have to take a transfer QB next year to come in and start. Combine that with the fact that we literally wasted a year of Brown by not only burning his redshirt but by trying to teach him how to play quarterback with a QB coach and OC who hated each other and frankly sucked. Dawson is literally starting from step one with Jacurri Brown this year again.

Long story short is, for Miami to make a deep playoff run we'll need a generational quarterback. We're not gonna toe to toe with bama, ga, osu anytime soon. We're gonna need a deshaun watson type qb for our next NC win. Until we see that dude rolling through the door it's just wins for recruiting momentum. This guys mechanics look worse than Malik's did. If this dude ever plays a game for us it aint good fellas.
