JSmith blank check

I like this....we throw around terms way to casually. CJ was ridiculous. Unguardable even though everyone knew he was getting the ball at times. Then just walked away. Imagine his numbers even with a shorter career but in todays pass happy NFL

Its why I think all the HOF's are being ruined. Baseball is the worst. They are letting in guys who had really really good careers. But to me HOF should be elite, best of the best, they will be talked about for years and years to come. Like a Joe Mauer....really good career. 4-5 years at the top of the game. the other years...a good MLB player. I could probably name 20-30 more that were legit. But just not HOF worthy. NFL guys like Troy Aiman or Terrell Davis.
I don't understand why Terrell Davis is on here.

That's makes no sense. Marvin Harrison was behind 3 future first round picks as a TF. Thomas had Max Johnson as QB1. Just keep it a buck and say becasue he is from Souf Florida.
I mean JJ came in behind a guy in Egbuka that's a likely first rounder this year and another 5* talent in front of him that people at OSU were/are extremely high on in Tate. Came in and made people forget all about both of them and lead them to a Natty as a TF with Will Howard at qb, while posting 1300+ yards and 15TDs.

He was the only true freshman to be granted the insurance policy, has draft experts talking about him being the #1 overall pick if he declared as a freshman, and finished top 4 in yards and TDs as a TF.

I don't think people saying him being generational is anything to do with him being a SF kid.

Do you think he belongs in the HOF?

I'd listen to why if so. But 3 great years isnt worthy. The injury stinks but its not the Hall of What if...
He had the 2 highest total rushing seasons in history until this year.
5 time 1st team All pro
He won OPOY,MVP,OPOY in consecutive years.
Also add in 2 SB wins

Outside of longevity he did everything in a short span.

This is not a well constructed response.

When I think generational, I think Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson.

JS looks to be a really good/great wr. I’d like to see how he develops physically over next couple years. Will he get faster/more explosive? Jump out the stadium on demand to win jump balls? Those are going to be the things that allow him to enter the conversation of being generational.

He’s likely to fall somewhere between DK Metcalf and Andre Johnson and fall short of Randy/Calvin - and that’s not a bad place to be.

That’s amazing…for 3-4 years.

One of the biggest what ifs. People think Priest Holmes should be in…but 3 great years and one good year. Then an injury cut short his peak.

I know you need bodies to have Hall of Fames I just think some years they should say pass if they have too. Maybe honor a team if you want to have a weekend and make some money for the locations
