He's a national champion and program-changer; could be a major bridge to being the championship-level program we want to be again. $8M is not a lot of money for []__[] brand development/exposure/elevation.

There's not a lot of players who I'd say this for (maybe 1 player every 10 years):

But JJ is worth whatever it takes to get. If he's listening, Mario needs to keep talking. Desperate or whatever it looks like he legit has a chance to be an all time great WR and it would be painful for years to know you didn't do all you could do get him to come home. Not only that but like I said before, he's the difference between an ACC championship/playoff appearance and a NC.

Ohio State doesn't come close to winning one without him this year.

Didn’t feel like he was going to come “home”. Let’s not forget he grew up a Buckeye fan because an Ohio St booster (SFE) was allowed to setup shop down in SFla and indoctrinate the kid (among others) from an early age. The chickens came home to roost as it pertains to SFE.

But I’m a little surprised he was thisquick to issue a statement when he had ALL the leverage in the world and could essentially name his price from them. All he had to do was not say anything and not sign their stupid 2 year B1G contract and he could have had LeBron level influence over everything OSU.

As far as his dream, I can't imagine he hasn't dreamt of raising a National Championship trophy with his teammates in Miami.

Never understand why porsters get so butt hurt about threads like this.

OSU is going to pay him $2.5-3M and he'd be a ******* dummy to turn down $5M from Miami in the Spring with a better OL and proven QB.

Funny you say this because i have heard two stories this week about people leaving their significant other for high school sweetheart. so not to ruin your analogy but it does happen.

If he gets an offer of 8 million per year, suddenly he’ll say he’s appreciated his time at Ohio State and accomplished what he intended, but is now ready to play for his hometown.
