Writing is on the wall. bend don't break kind of defense. Play lots of zone but allow the players to break on plays when they see them develop. Just keep the play in front of you. We dont have coverage one type of guys. We just dont.

Impossible to play bend don’t break without elite talent at CB.

Kinda reminds me of the Dolphins days with Marino. Could, and had to score on anybody because the defense couldn’t stop anybody.

Shula had a terrible DC, he should have made the move to someone else. The Bills would jump on that team like 21-3 and then Marino goes shutgun 4 wides to carry them back but it just wasn't enough in some 44-34 loss. I've seen that game so many times when I was a kid

Louisville is the best offense we will play all season long. Two TDs were off a short field and KO return, when Louisville had fully taken a hold of the momentum.

Also, the defense gave the offense a chance to end this game before halftime. The offense just proceeded to go 3 and out. I still maintain if our defense can hold opponents to under 35, we will win 90% of the time. Our offense is that good.

No doubt....but there is also no debate that our defensive line is better than that LSU team's D line.

Guidry needs to adjust his scheme to our talent, or in the case of the secondary, a lack thereof.
listened to the blustein podcast and he was wondering where the pass rush has been the last few games. obviously giving the QB a lot less time takes pressure off DB's.

Problem is guys like Harris break on plays that don't develop and just let guys run wide open behind him. Can't trust his eyes and instincts at this point to do anything besides "don't let anybody behind you"

Baron was banged up and Bain was coming off a hamstring injury at Cal along with Alston being out.

Louisville I think they played well but stunted way too much.

Let’s see what they do against FsU with a fully healthy rotation

luckily for us we have FSU and Duke on deck

FSU hasn’t scored more than 21, and that was in game 1.

duke’s offense should be illegal it’s so bad
I don’t want to play the kick the can game here but I think the FSU/Duke games are gonna tell us more about the defense than Louisville

If we can’t stop those guys then I think we should just adopt overtime rules and let every team start at the 25 and try and hold them to a field goal and just try and outscore them

It will limit our explosive plays against as well

I, too, like the idea of the D not giving up any explosive plays longer than 25 yards.
