Josh Moore

Upshaw has a better chance of playing early, imo
I don't. I think Moore and Toney have high probability of playing over Ray Ray, Chance, and Upshaw. I wouldn't be surprised if Ray Ray transferred out. I think we add the Best Portal WR we can in spring, and we rock and roll. Bryce Fitzgerald may even start out at WR tbh, we are very low on numbers there.

Upshaw is going to be the next security blanket for whoever the QB is "IF" his game transfers from HS. Best "pure" receiver we picked up last class crisp routes strong hands has wiggle not stiff makes adjustments on bad throws and still uses his mitts to complete the catch in traffic. Not afraid of contact will deliver a blow and has enough juice to house one 70 yds

Hope so. Call me a sceptic.

We need a couple portal WRs. A slot and another outside WR. I love Moore’s upside, but I do not want to rely on him this year.

Yeah I can’t imagine they would. Who they go after I have no clue but we need a true #1 WR on this roster. Spending way too much to rely on the growth for all these kids with 0 production basically other than Daniels

If he does come in and start, we got big problems.
idk ... his measurables are good ... it's can he catch it consistently and can he get the mental side of things (playbook, releases, route tree, etc) ... but he's not a guy that needs to year in the weight room, he has the prerequisite size

Agreed. Someone from that room is likely to leave with so much potential shuffling and new faces. Chasing Branch & Singleton showed we aren't satisfied with the slot position and may not be comfortable yet with Ray Ray & Toney. I see us bringing in two more too.

Most RBs are not ready physically or technically to pass block at 18. Strong disagree
That’s fair. Most receivers aren’t ready to contribute either since they are usually poor at route running and making adjustments during the play based on reading the defense. That’s how interceptions happen which is probably one of the reasons why our young receivers didn’t play much last year because of the lack of trust they would run the right route under pressure situations. They have gotten by largely on athletic ability.

At least with young running backs you can play them on the first two downs and 3rd and 4 or less.

I can see why Josh Newberg feels that way. Joshua Moore has the measurables and skills that are elite. IMHO, if he has the work ethic, he could be the WR with the most potential on the roster. As a matter of fact, he has some of the greatest potential of all ACC WRs. He is special

Given all the production we lost, the fact that the Canes haven’t gone out to bring more WR talent to Miami means that we have a lot of confidence in the potential of that room. The Canes will have another top 10 offense, and I love the moves that Cristobal is making this offseason

He has the work ethic and is the highest ceiling WR on the roster. I’ll put it this way, Horton is a poor man’s Joshua Moore.
