No problem. It was complicated, then it got complicateder.

Have to wonder if this is tied to what’s going on at Michigan right now? If I’m not mistaken they’re being investigated for actions during Gattis’ time there. Imagine that his UM contract would provide for termination with cause if involved in an NCAA investigation/wrongdoing/etc.?
I think you’re on the right track. But I’d be shocked if a mere investigation could warrant termination. And these NCAA cases always take forever to wrap up.

Feels like Gattis is not going get fired until first full moon of the spring solstice, and we have collected 40 Colombian virgins from the hills of nefati through a blood ritual. In which we collect 3 quarts of blood from baby Cambodian lambs that have been mixed with Chinese 5 spice from the ming dynasty.
So you are saying it’s still possible. We just need a few things to break our way

He wasn’t fired and was literally still out recruiting until Mario accepted the job. Do you have evidence to the contrary?

I certainly do.

I realize you can't wrap your brain around two separate concepts like "he was told he was out months earlier" and "he's still obligated to do his job under contract until the severance details are finalized".

But, yeah, "he was literally still out recruiting"...

I'd ask if you are really that dumb, but I'm not sure that the answer would solve anything.
