My opinion is 100% correct....I was born in 60.....my HS yrs were 75-78....THAT was EASILY the best Music era....and we all had bad *** vehicles, women, and cheap Herb ($100 for a pound of Gold Bud) please stop
I won't argue from a music standpoint. Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Boston, CCR, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller Band, Tom Petty, Van Halen... tough to beat.

I'm a 90's kid and I love 80's and 90's music but 70's music was awesome.

Petty wasn't too my liking....but when you look at these Concert stubs from concerts I attended....you can see why I stated what I did (and there were wayyyy more I attended, but lost track of the stubs)

**** yeah, Frampton and Skynyrd. I bet Jethro Tull was awesome in concert.

You did NOT have the best vehicles. The year 1970 was the last year and pinnacle of the muscle cars. Even the Chevy small block LT-1 was the pinnacle - because government regulations and OPEC caused an automobile disaster in this nation that lasted for years and years. 55mph limit on interstates? PLEASE!

Music was OK - but nothing like the full spectrum of the 1960's, which probably had its best year in 1967.

$100 for a pound of herb? ****, go to Vietnam, and it was $5 for a packed Kroger sack of bud. And ammunition was free!
Yes the mid 70s were the best for vehicles....all my friends were driving Bad *** Mopars and Chevelles in HS (75-78)...I had a Bad *** 72 Bonneville with a Monster 455 V8 in it.....You'd be ****ed if you saw my HS's student parking lot.

I've heard it all. WHEN it was happening.

You like music in the 70's? Me too!

I recall a little Texas band came though several times - and during their breaks, they'd sit down with me and a buddy who was a musician - and we'd shoot the **** - these guys just loved to play. Probably spent hours in total hanging out.

Last time I saw them - whew! Huge show! ZZ Top really stepped it up. But I knew them as some real good country boys that just loved to play.

What I'm saying is - I saw the 70's - and the 60's - BOTH. As they occurred, as they evolved.

Key phrase. AS THEY EVOLVED.

That Skynyrd show was less than a week before the plane Crash...it was literally the Street Survivors tour. The Floyd concert was the Animals Tour and is a Top 3 concert I've ever seen.

As an Executive Chef in St Petersburg in 86 I partied with 2 members of RATT (Warren DiMartini and Steven Piercy) My best friend in HS in Ft Myers, his Dad owned the Famous Looking Glass Lounge, and was able to party with Rick Derringer and Brownsville Station...that was around 1976-77....we'd help clean up the bar after hrs for $$$$

That’s crazy ref it being so close to the crash. I’ve seen parts of the Oakland show from that tour and they were really leaning IMO.

Dude, I'm totally jealous!! A life well lived to be sure!! And, I remember the Hollywood Sportatorium!!
I probably went to 100 concerts from 75-79 in Fl....those stubs pictured have nothing on the ones I attended, but didn't save the stubs, or were misplaced. Florida in the 70s WAS the place for Great concerts. Foghat, Aerosmith, Heart, Nugent, Styx, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult etc....we're always touring here.
