Hasn’t he been a Canes fan since kid?
You and I think about this differently than a player would. How many Canes fans from Dade County signed with FSU, Alabama, UGA etc over the years? Being a fan isn’t why he’s staying. He’s been here 3 years incl a coaching change and ****** losses. Half the board quit over that time span and it’s enough for the allure of simply being a canes fan to wear off.

Gaddis is done, otherwise TVD wouldn’t be coming back. Much more than NIL too, this is a 5-10 year business decision being made

I recall watching (I think it was) Roman's play-by-play video summary.

He was so critical of Gattis. I think the first pick was a by-product of Gattis running 2 hitches (IIRC) pretty bunched together. My recollection is that it was the other WR's defender that picked the pass. I am no xs and os genius, but I trust Roman and he didn't have much positive to say about Gattis.

So, I don't know that I agree that it was TVD being bad vs. Gattis putting TVD in a position to stink it up.
yeah but that Roman guy also praised the scheme when Gattis was first hired. Gattis brought the same offense that he showed on tape at Michigan. didn’t take a film junkie to know it was a horrible fit and i’m pretty sure i said as much in the initial thread.

must listen for those who still think bro style will work when we don’t have the players nor mentality.

I somewhat agree.... More than not, He just played horrible football, Gattis happening or not. I mean, I can't blame Gattis for how TVD started that mtsu game 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yep. People seem to quickly forget the absolute terrible misses he had the first few games while he was healthy, routine throws too. He looked better as the season progressed though.

Obviously Gattis was terrible, but the first 3-4 games. TVD didn’t look right at all.

Some of that can be due to learning a new offense and not being confident or fully bought into it. Thinking like this can mess with your mechanics, especially your feet. Which can cause inaccurate throws.

How you kno ? We say the same thing about Gattis and Dan Enos but take off lol

Because he would have run something a lot more wide open than those two rejects. Not saying Mario would have ever hired him, but he would have done far better

A lot of people HATED the hire from day 1

I tried to be optimistic in thinking that Gattis would do what he said and “adapt” but that clearly never happened

I gave him credit for assuming he was smarter than that

Southern Miss was a huge red flag. A&M I saw some good from him especially in the first half…but the second half and red zone was where you could just clearly see this was a losing cause

Anyone defending him after that was just trying to cope

The first half of the A&M game was the only time all year he looked competent, and even then we Ididn’t score a Tud
