Joseph Yearby is QUICK

His feet are insane

use him in the **** slot Coley. Busted ankles everywhere.

I don't know about the slot. In that video his hands were........,suspect, and that's a generous characterization.

Keep him at rb, and have him come in to spell Duke ala Frank Gore in his underclass years at Miami.
Defense is tired from having to chase Duke, then you bring in a Duke Clone with fresh legs.

Deadly.

I'm definitely not suggesting we take one of the most successful Dade County running backs of all time and make him a slot receiver. Just saying he can be moved around. His size has been questioned but you don't see people get clean hits on him. He would be a nightmare to cover if we throw a few wrinkles in for him in the pass game is all I'm saying

That was Yearby before he broke his ankle. I hope he is able to recover 100% or it would be a tragedy.

He ran a 4.8 40 in the spring. Hopefully it was because he was coming off injury. The quickness in the video is excellent.

He runs a 4.8 the same way Emmitt Smith ran a 4.80.

We couldn't tackle or catch that slow motherfuucker.

Jimmy saw it first hand and traded up to get him, 40 times be damned.

Emmitt didn't run fast, but he "teleported" from one side of the LOS to the other very nicely.

At around :20 you will so what ELITE quickness looks like. This can't be practiced or learned. You have that or you don't. Of course, marginal improvements can be made through practice, working out, getting stronger with age…but that **** you are born with friends.

Thats one of those videos that's been posted here and there, if Yearby becomes a huge star here, that video will be posted for years down the road.

Feet like a tap dancer.

People say he's not fast, but I remember seeing his highlights and against the best competition, I don't remember seeing any fast South Florida corners or safeties tracking him down.

Everyone is obsessed with 4.3 or sub 4.3 guys, but the reality is that 4.4-4.5 is world class speed, especially when you can run that fast with pads on like Duke.

I go by the eyeball test. Duke is fast, real fast. So is Stacy Coley. I don't care what his clock says, when Coley is in a game he looks like a blur.
Dorsett as well. Takes a lot of speed to blow 10 yards past fast corners when they know you are coming, ala Travis Benjamin.

Yearby looks insanely quick like Duke and real fast, regardless of what the clock says.

That was in 2012, I hope he has developed in certain areas within a two year span... hopefully hands are better. However keep him at running back for sure. If he runs 4.8 then hey hopefully he is another Mike Hart

On the last play he cuts inside for his route so quick hes 2 or 3 yards away before the DB even has a chance to turn his hips. ****

Yearby is the definition of "STUD recruit." Potential to be all-world in my opinion. Only other dude I ever saw with this type of ankle breaking ability was named Barry Sanders. Filthy change of direction and, in my opinion, plenty fast.

While trying to find some video of our commits/targets at "The Opening" I somehow came across this video of Yearby running routes at an FSU camp. This kid is unreal shifty. Here's to hoping that Coley does a better job of utilizing our backs in the passing game this year as opposed to last....

The problem was NOT Coley making the calls, it's was Morris's inability to complete simple passes...
