Jordan working with starters, gives thoughts on UM tight end tradition, LSU

It's not a video game out there... I too wish I could snap my fingers, and see them play as if it were their JR season in college right away.

Those guys have a bright future, but they're Freshman!

There's no telling what having weapons like Brevin & Mallory will do for the offense. Getting those 2 together was the biggest coup of the class. Talk about a game changer.

Jordan is already one of the most important players on the offense.

People will be surprised by how much we ask him to do.
Any insight (aside from what the article says) as to how he is progressing as a blocker? Don't sugar coat it, please :p

The biggest difference between now & then will be how much they contribute as blockers. They'll be weapons in the passing game right off the bat.

We started 3 Freshmen LBs and I thought Diaz was insane. They made some mistakes, but played beyond their years and 2 were freshmen AAs. Donaldson manned up against the best of them, and other than Clemson, held up great. Joe Jax and Ahmmon blew by guys. ... I would say we have a pretty **** good track record with true freshmen starters... Still, I hope they use Choc to support with pass protection and run blocking, and go wide sets often so we don't need to rely too much on Jordan's blocking.

And, yeah, this kid will be a ridiculous mismatch for LBs or press safeties. He's going to make a lot of plays for us.

Call me crazy, but I want to see a heavy dose of Polendy vs LSU

We're going to need him too, especially in the run game.

Completely different era, but there’s a clip of a Texas DB claiming that “real men play man” in an interview before the infamous Cotton Bowl in 1991. They cut next to Thrill Hill, who tried to calmly state that he thought such a philosophy would translate to a big game for him. Two-six shooters later, we know the cost of playing man against elite athletes. Brevin’s comments just brought me back. Hope the results against LSU are the same!

Link please

Meanwhile, Mallory continues to develop under the radar. Those two are going to be an unstoppable nightmare for opposing defenses for the next 3-4 years here.
Mallory is scary big and athletic. Also from what Brevin says, has glue hands. Good skill to have when paired with a catch radius the size of Coral Gables.

“They’re big. A lot of big dudes,” Jordan said on LSU’s defense. “They run man, but if a linebacker is guarding me one-on-one, it’s over, I think it’s a wrap.”

And his prediction for how the LSU game will turn out?

“My prediction, I’d probably say 31-14. Miami, of course.”

I'm listening...

If the ol holds up and Rosier hits the broad side of a barn , they won’t hold up against the dudes we have at wr.

Watching JT last year I was blown away by hit route running , I don’t recall seeing anyone in and out of routes as fast as that dude , without even losing any speed. ND and Clemson had 3-4 routes that were just insane, the db’s were still sitting on the first move of the route while he was already finishing the second move. Maybe Santana comes close , but this guys route running is elite.

Once your route gets to that level you can’t be stopped, your only chance is Rosier misses him or trying to rough him up on the los.

So please LSU, man up with JT, AR and the rest of those guys. It won’t end well.
