The interest is there and I had coaches on the kid when he was 15. I did my part here. First visit 😎 But unfortunately history has not been kind to my kids at the DB position and Miami...

Hopefully there is a clear understanding that we actually want him before he comes to campus. That would be a step in the right direction…

Has Wyman spoke with Etheridge and have you and the new recruit coordinator from the Gamecocks have a conversation 🤔

Jonesboro (Ga.) High cornerback Jontavius Wyman remains committed to Georgia, but a few other programs are making him give them consideration. Miami stands atop that list as likely the biggest threat to the Bulldogs right now.

Wyman will take his official visits to Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, USC, Auburn and Georgia Tech. He'd like to finalize his plans by September. Wyman said that most of the schools other than Georgia are recruiting him as a wide receiver and defensive back.

Let's start with the lone current Georgia commit in attendance for the event: Jonesboro (Ga.) athlete Jontavius Wyman.

Wyman is definitely taking a look around after committed to Georgia prior to his junior season. That's not to say Georgia is fading, but other schools are doing what they can to make things interesting with Wyman. The school that I've got my eye on the most is Miami. He has strong relationships with Miami coaches Mario Cristobal, Zac Etheridge, and Juan Navarro. The Hurricanes' coaching staff sent a big group to go see Wyman at his school in January.

Right now, I'd consider Georgia's chances of holding on to be better than 50-50, but certainly not 100 percent.
