I remember when Toney decommitted and some people were acting like it wasn’t that big of a deal. These are precisely the type of football players we need more of…natural leaders with great football instincts who know how to win. Regarding Coleman, he’s going to have to work on and improve his passing ability. He’s still got another year to work on it but a WR just looked better passing the ball in this game than he did.

How can you not be impressed with Toney-

What he did in the playoffs is truly remarkable-

I saw Dia Bell this year, he really came on from last year-I thought he was the best QB in the state-

He gets injured, Toney is the QB takes them to a state championship-

He outplayed Coleman-

He’s a helluva football player-

Louis had 223 yards rushing including an 80 yd td run to clinch it-

Props to West Boca beating Kissimmee Osceola 26-7 for their first state title in school history-
Lots of those kids coming back for maybe going back to back-DT Xavier Reed he’s undersized but, he just dominates-Best DT I’ve seen this year in South Florida-

South Florida teams are dominating the state championships -

Chaminade
St.Thomas Aquinas
American Heritage Plantation
West Boca

Miami Northwestern beats Jacksonville Raines tonight that will make 5 South Florida teams taking home the trophy.

Dia Bell is a highly ranked and hyped 4-star 2026 QB recruit with slightly better measurables at 6’2”, but Coleman who is about 5’11”, a 3-star 2026 QB recruit, is better IMHO. Coleman is a better runner, passer, and team leader. Coleman also has grit and a heart. Of course, things can change in college if a player puts in the work, but I respect and agree with Dawson and the coaches evals for getting Coleman and Luke Nickel instead of Bell.

Bell had a great year before his injury (especially against inferior teams) but Malachi Toney was the real leader of that team. Heritage was losing 14-0 against Dillard when Bell got injured and Toney came in and led them to a comeback victory. It definitely shows Toney’s versatility and understanding of the game. Dawson needs to figure out how to get Toney on the field.

Good stuff-I saw Bell against STA he was throwing dimes all night-He was pretty impressive plus he was elusive-

Things change on the next level like you said-

No doubt about Toney have to get him on the field.

Hope Dawson draws up some trick plays exploiting Toney’s QB ability — e.g. trips with him as the receiver behind the LOS, the other two block and he throws to the X receiver slanting or posting coming from the other side.
