Could you imagine him as Co-DC and Wilfork and DL coach? We'd lead the nation with 447 sacks.
Bring back the player-coach...I think Warren had 1 year of eligibility left...

With Oregon hiring a new Poly DL coach the writing is on the wall.. if Joe were to come here look out for Brandon Dorlus to also look at potentially transferring to Miami. He’s a Haitian kid that played at Deerfield and was the second Deerfield player to sign with Mario (Ge’Mon being the other).
Dorlus was a 1st team Pac12 player this season and may have additional motivation to come back home
This guy got the #1 player in Hawaii to commit to Nebraska without even taking a visit, this is a good pickup for themOregon Ducks to hire Nebraska’s Tony Tuioti as defensive line coach
Oregon is set to hire Nebraska defensive line coach Tony Tuioti to the same role with the Ducks, according to multiple reportswww.oregonlive.com
Looks like Salave'a is on the move to a new home, hmmm.

Someone more knowledgeable than me can explain why but a nose tackle has very few sacks. Vince Wilfork had 16 sacks in 189 games as a pro.Could you imagine him as Co-DC and Wilfork and DL coach? We'd lead the nation with 447 sacks.
Only nick Saban can bring Nebraska back. This guy got the #1 player in Hawaii to commit to Nebraska without even taking a visit, this is a good pickup for them
Look out for Flowe next year...Bring back the player-coach...I think Warren had 1 year of eligibility left...
They are run stoppers and not pass rushers. Usually wider bodies, who aren't going to move as well, plus get doubled a lot on passing downs. In today's college and pro game, true noses are 2 down players. Look at how Rousseau was used in passing downs here over center and guard. The 3 technique, or smaller, more agile DT usually lines up outside the guard to create 1 on 1 opportunities. NT is lined up over the ball in the 3-4 or in a 1 tech between C and G generally speaking.Someone more knowledgeable than me can explain why but a nose tackle has very few sacks. Any chance we land Alex Figueroa to coach LBs?What about Warren Sapp?

I'll be here all week, folks, and don't forget to tip your waitresses...
Because in a 3-4 defense, his job is to eat up space, control the Center, and stopping the inside running game. Not running upfield to sack QBsSomeone more knowledgeable than me can explain why but a nose tackle has very few sacks. Vince Wilfork had 16 sacks in 189 games as a pro.
The scheme Vince was in was just to take up blockers.. as a nose they want you huge and to 2-gap.. they don't care for your pass rush ability.. especially when Vince was playing game was still stop the run and be in 3-4 base.. try to take on two blockers and hold your ground.. not worried about penetration or rushing the passerSomeone more knowledgeable than me can explain why but a nose tackle has very few sacks.
