Why is it that recruits can blissfully ignore a system like bama's offense and still commit whereas we recruited guys who sited our system as reasons why they didn't commit. Rhetorical question. Totally illogical but whatever.

You know the answer though--winning.

Part of it, yes. The rest...well, you know the drill.

I blame Lebron and the whole "super team" mentality. Kids don't want to work these days. They want to go to a place where they have to work as little as possible and get all the benefits

And to the person who said Hurts won't start next year....who is going to start? All the previous 5* QBs they had transferred and i think they have Hurts, another freshman and their committed kids this year. He is going to start and play the next 3 years probably as he gives them the best chance.

Not work? As soon as he hit Bama he will compete. I'm not an LBJ fan but even he competed. Kid chose Bama oh well. The staff has to continue to work hard and find the next best prospect. They are out there. Its getting ridiculous. And Ridley stock isn't dropping. Demaryious Thomas made it to the league playing for GT then Stephen Hill followed him both 1st rounders.

Hill went in the second round

It boggles my mind that Alabama gets 2 or 3 top 25 WR recruits every year and we never hear from them again. Who is Ridley? He doesn't look any better than Malcolm Lewis. In fact I'm sure Lewis had more receiving yards in the Russel Bowl than Ridley did in the playoffs. These kids are being sold a bill of goods. Their parents have to wake up and smell the coffee.

Those dude's were 6'4"+ and ran sub 4.4 forties. Physical freaks get much more leeway when it comes to productivity in college.

This kid has the ability to be the saving grace for this team and solidify this recruiting class. If we landed him then there is no doubt in my mind that other kids will join. But to be such a puszy front runner and to put on for another state and school that doesn't even throw the ball? I hope he doesn't get a ***ing reception at bama.

What a TERRIBLE comparison.

Ridley is a slight 6'1 190 lbs and is ALREADY 22 years old.

D Thomas is 6'3 236 lbs at a 4.38
S Hill is 6'4 225 lbs at a 4.36

^^^ this. Hope this fool doesn't even crack the rotation.

I can not believe you are still salty over a recruit choosing another school. it's one thing if the decision wasn't final but this kid already enrolled so what's the point of ing?

We have every right to point out the obvious when it's discussing SoFl recruits. If it wasn't bamer with that lack of a passing QB and system, Jeudy would never go there. Hope the kid gets to the league for his and his family sake, but he could find a better QB and place to show his receiving skill. If I had a top WR son, if not the Canes, then I'd hand deliver him to USC. That QB and system will showcase a WR's skills.

Oh okay. That was way too high for him. Anyway you get my point.

Hahaa stop it now. Ridley is better than Lewis. We can't ignore the fact that as a true fresh he had over 1k. Hurt is young and they tailored their offense to his strengths. However his sophomore year resembled Cooper. He'll be a 1st round pic knext year.

Any way we can get OP to change the title of this thread to Harry Beudy?

How tall is Jeudy? I thought he was like 6'2. Kid is talented. I'm sure he will make it. However that doesn't mean we can't get our own stud. Remember Chris Dunkley, Sean Tapley, Christian Green, James Louis and JJ Story? All top rated wideouts for 2010 and 2011. We were stuck with bums like Hurns and Dorsett. Mid to low 3 stars. Our mid to low 3 stars outplayed those AAs.

Bruh I'm talking about talent and production in a system that may not pass as much. Ridley eclipsef 1k as a freshman. He is more talented than Hill. You can live in denial all you want but everyone knows how good he is. He didn't lose any money. As for age, you'll be surprise how many guys are actually his age leaving as a fresh or soph. Especially with prep and juco programs. Anyway we don't have to dump on a kid to make ourselves feel better. There are still good players out there.

How do you know one of the recruits coming in wouldnt mature alot quicker and surpass him...... dude anything is possible. even for us, Thomas might come in and be all world... but yes a very non ethical decision, like many guys here said.... jumping on the bandwagon b!tches

wait until Ridley gets to the NFL combine and magically shrinks to 5'11 or 6'0 1/4 like they always do. Coley is 6'1 and he looks much taller than Ridley.
