Jess Simpson on the job -

I mean I can see bags being dropped for sure...But really you don't think Saban has anything to sale a kid or change his mind? How many out of how many of the last ships do they have? How many recent players drafted?

He could have also convinced the kid he is a 3-4 pass rusher.

I know high school kids can be clueless, and DL can be especially flaky. But is there a football player in the US that doesn't know Bama's success on the field and in the draft under Saban? Didn't he already visit there and wouldn't he already have been given their plan for him, including why he fits better in a 3-4 vs. a 4-3? Looks like (once again) Kul had nothing to do with flipping this kid.

If it were Oklahoma or UCLA or whatever, maybe. Even dirty Georgia given he's a local. But I just don't buy any argument other than exchange of funds or in-kind compensation (or at least a hard promise of compensation) with Bama for a last-minute flip like that. He had enough data to go on before Saban flew out to meet him.

While we're on the topic of Bama, I wonder if Saban happened to mention the fact that even as 4 underclassmen from 2015 went pro early, another 10 (out of 24 total) have either transferred out or been kicked off the team. Anyone who goes there has to know they're mercenaries for hire. Again, bags are the only logical reason for flipping from the Canes to them overnight.

He did flip to Bama the day after that article came out by I believe ESPN talking about how 5* recruits that go to Bama more than double their chances of being drafted.

Have you ever see the Medical Scholarship stats of Bama? They have the most kids on Med Scholorships of any of the other P5 teams(probably all of CFB) and if you look at the kids names 99% of them are busts. WSJ did an article about it maybe 5 years ago and someone else made an article about it this year. Tons of athletes claimed that he would pressure them into taking the medical scholarship so he could open up more scholarships for the new recruiting class. He would allegedly do this to all of the busts so he wouldn't have to worry about the PR issue of not renewing a kids scholarship for performance reasons. If you look at the stats it seems very plausible especially when you think of how far Saban will go to win a NC. Here is the WSJ article, but I couldn't find the more recent article after a quick google search. Alabama's Unhappy Castoffs

Definitely had nothing to do with Kul.. Harris said Tosh Lupoi was his recruiter - he met Kul but that was it.

apparently he has character issues and that is why UGA didnt accept his commitment last year. A Grayson coach or staff member is leaking the info to some people
Pretty strong stuff to say about somebody anonymously unless there is something to back it up.

whats with this whole flip and harris was a commit talk on here?. That kid never was coming here.

Word is he committed to the staff on his OV. Then Bama convinced him almost immediately to commit to them.

That worrd had to be wrong or it was just something to keep our coaches off his back. Kid was a Bama lean from the gate. We applied pressure and forced Bama's hand with him though i believe.

No he wasn’t. The kid wasn’t even a Bama lean till basically late. At first people thought UGA and Clemson were bigger players. Then it was LSU. Then Bama. Basically everyone knows that he told Simpson that he was coming here till Bama met with him and everything changed. Even he admitted in his interview when he commited that he was all Miami at some point a week before.

When he said he was going back to Bama for a final impression after his OV here I already knew something wasn’t right. But I admit I did get excited about all the Miami hype surrounding him it distracted us from that last impression visit for a second

Ivins said he was told that Harris committed to Simpson and that he also spoke to Richt and committed to him, too. As of that Sunday before the public event, he was coming to Miami. Even the Bama board thought so. And he said it in an interview on Tuesday. That's when something happened. By Monday the story was all different.
And Georgia wouldn't take his commitment last summer - they told him he had to camp with them first but he couldn't get to any because of previous arrangements. Then something happened at Clemson last fall and that was the end of them (someone said they also wouldn't take his pledge, IDK if that's true). The LSU lean was brief - they offered him the same day we did in March. He visited Bama twice - once last fall and once this spring. I do think he came to UM leaning more towards Bama but the visit here made him really think.

Bama offered him on march 9th a day after us. He visited there unofficially twice in a month and committed. Seems like regardless what was thought thats where he wanted to be.

He committed to our staff then has a last second visit to bama right before his announcement. Take that a$ you plea$e. It definitely was very weird , the late visit tells a lot doe.

Wut? Of ******* course Bama paid Harris. I mean that was obvious.

If you think young black kids from ATL are dying to go live in Tuscaloosa and hang out with Nick and Scott Cochran you are one gullible cat
