Calvin Ridley never considered Miami. Al Golden was the most likely reason.
Amari Cooper and Teddy Bridgewater would have been Canes had we not fired Randy. Again, Amari Cooper and Teddy Bridgewater were not sold by Al Golden.
Real story: Cooper was all UM. Folden tried to pressure him to commit on the spot publicly after a camp. Cooper didn't want to and got turned off to Folden. Rest is history.
Teddy wasn't turned off by Folden at all. As chise says "real story" Folden told him the Miami offense would be going in a different direction & the type of player teddy was we had no use for...
And then Golden continued, "And what I mean by, 'your type of player,' Teddy is that you're a good one, a natural leader with a beautiful and glorious crank. This isn't national geographic, Teddy, it just isn't and I can't have that thing dominating the locker room, my locker room. You're going to have to take that thing to the country, and then later, the NFL, but not here."
