The results of Jeudy's OV are in!!!

For the public: Jeudy remains committed to Alabama but loved the visit and came away very impressed with everything Miami has to offer. The Staff believes that the weekend went great and there is still a real chance Jeudy could choose the Canes over Alabama in the end.

Privately: When the page count on this thread hit 100, Jeudy was overcome with emotion and committed to Richt on the spot; albeit a silent commit. However, the staff at Miami is concerned that when his emotions die down Jeudy may flip back to Alabama.

Stay tuned.

Appreciate the updates tweed and Pete by the way with anybody concerned his mom didn't come Momma jeudy is on board with him coming to The U I'd argue she's a huge reason so let's sit back and wait to see the fall out of what seeemed like a great visit. Hope he signs those aid papers if he doesn't flip at the very least so we can keep contact

Tweed and the coaches were all at the Southridge game last night, along with at least 2 recruits' parents (Steed and Henderson). Anyone else at that game last night?

Don't think Steed and Henderson parents were there, they were watching it online

Thanks Pete. Great work on this and many thanks to you on this one and all you do here. You and Tweed have really shown the difference between a real insider and posers.

This will be my last post on the matter, because nothing else from this point will be a matter of public record. (Unless asked to.)

I don't do predictions, I don't percentages, and I don't do gut feelings, so please just sit back, relax, & let's see what happens.

I will say this, WE ARE AT THE TABLE fellas !!!! Meeting with the staff this morning when picking up Jerry, and that's all we can ask for at this point.

Thanks and God bless.

Thanks boss!

Mama Jeudy should just be comfortablein anyway that she can . She's gone through **** lately so we need to not stress that she wasn't there I just pray that she's ok

Regardless of what happens, this was a huge step in the right direction compared to the previous twits that didnt' even give themselves the chance to be at the table. I know we all hate moral victories regarding recruiting, but just how all things developed and came about was something to make us look forward to in the future. GO CANES!

Al Golden and Co. got Dalvin Cuck to visit, dign a financial aid agreement, and we had threads similar to this one. Getting a kid to visit doesn't win any games but signing him does.

Is Dalvin Cuck related to Tony Cuck?

To echo Tweed's post, Miami has given themselves a very real chance after this weekend.

That idiot Gorlden didnt even bother to recruit JJ tho, 5 star receiver in your own neck of the woods. Rick and co had to jump thru hoops it seems like to even get him to consider hopefully not countin fully on the personal development within JJ family. I hope he flips cause yeah signing these kind of players is what wins games not visits and hype and all that ****. That said i hope we finish strong and kill it.

A visit, dinner at the table, wearing UM slippers, throwing the U for a photo means squat unless you close.

Life is about closing! Winners do it and Losers, well, continue losing...

There are a couple of unofficial “ambassadors” in this Miami Hurricanes recruiting class.

One is Deejay Dallas, who is working tirelessly on UM’s behalf with several recruits.

Another? Trajan Bandy, who is working to sway recruits to this class as well.

And Bandy hopes the Canes can land a big one in 5-start WR Jerry Jeudy, an Alabama commitment who visited UM on Friday and then decided to stay on campus Saturday as well in lieu of visiting another program.

Bandy is in regular contact with others in this recruiting class and has a good handle on the pulse of this class.

“For sure he’s thinking (about his options),” Bandy said. “The only officials he’s taken is Miami and Alabama. Something’s up.”

Jeudy is keeping his thoughts close to the vest, but speculation is running rampant that Miami could pull off a shocker and actually land this playmaking early enrollee.

An official visitor who spent time with Jeudy this weekend was BJ Jennings.

Jennings, who called his own visit “great,” and was hosted by Mike Pinckney, was asked Sunday if he thinks the Canes have a real shot with Jeudy.

His answer?

“Yes, from what he has told me," Jennings said. "He (said he) is considering Miami.”

QB Cade Weldon also chatted up Jeudy this weekend. Weldon, who said he's "really excited" to be a Cane after this weekend and said that "we have a really good group of guys" after the visit that he spent with Jeudy, Waynmon Steed, Navaughn Donaldson, Billy Gibson, Amari Carter, Robert Burns, Jonathan Garvin, BJ Jennings and CJ Henderson.

Weldon's take on if there's a shot with Jeudy?

"Yeah, I think we definitely gave him something to think about," Weldon said.

CaneSport also spoke with one of Jeudy’s good friends and a highly touted Deerfield Beach receiver in his own right, Leroy Henley (Henley’s cousin, Terrance, is a Hurricane DB).

Henley describes Jeudy as “quiet,” which is a word most that have met Jeudy would echo. And Henley says it’s a stressful situation for his friend.

“I know he visited Miami but I don’t want to get into it (if UM has a good chance) - I know how recruiting is, don’t want to add more stress for him. It’s very difficult. You have things from all these great universities, don’t want to make a bad decision because this is your career, your life. It’s a lot of stress. It can be overwhelming at times.”

He says that’s the case right now for Jeudy and that “I told him just pray on it, that God won’t lead him wrong. His destiny is going to be what it’s going to be. He has so much talent, the sky’s the limit for him.”

Henley says working in UM’s favor is his family situation and that “he’s real close with his mom.”

Henley says he won’t hazard a guess for where Jeudy winds up but that “I’d just be happy for wherever he goes. I just want him to do well.”

The potential optimism of some that Jeudy is considering UM must also be juxtaposed with Jeudy's coach at Deerfield Beach High School, who told CaneSport on Sunday morning that he spoke with Jeudy after the visit wrapped up.

"I talked to him after, he's still with Alabama," coach Jevon Glenn said. "He just went down because he had nothing else to do for the most part. He was thinking about going to North Carolina (Saturday), didn't feel it so stayed at Miami. He just went down, wasn't going to think about flipping."

His Coach must really be deep in those Bama pockets

Jeudy's coach sounds like a guy who just found out his girlfriend is going to shoot a scene with Shane Diesel and Brian Pumper but is still trying to tell himself that it's a-ok
