Jermaine Grace senior highlights

These are the type of mutant athletic freaks we've been missing. A back 7 that can consist of Johnson/Perryman/Kirby/Blue/Terry/Thomas/Grace/Howard/Finnie/Gunter/Crawford/Bush/Burns/Carter/Jenkins will do ******* damage next year. Even if you don't like D'onofrio.

My body is ready.

I've been following recruiting fairly seriously for about 17 years. Over that time, I can't count the number of times I've heard of a prospect, and then gone and seen them live (or on TV) and they just didn't make many plays. I've seen a ton of specimens that look huge, can run like a deer, but come game time they're quiet other than 2 or 3 amazing plays. Some of those guys pan out, some don't. What I love is hearing about a kid and then watching a game and seeing him MAKE FOOTBALL PLAYS consistently throughout the game. When I watched Miramar earlier this year on TV, Grace was that guy. He was in on or around the play almost every down. I feel a lot more comfortable taking kids like that who are natural football players. You can tell when kids have a knack for making plays... when you combine that with good physical specs, you get a prospect that gets the Swag gold seal of approval.

this is EXACTLY who i am...and always been even in my high school days when we would scout the teams we were about to play.

Examples:
I played my hs ball in Hollywood..Chaminade was sort of like our little bro(think fiu) and played their games at our stadium. i knew all the guys on the team grew up/boys with Jon Beason...then heard Glen Cook had a um offer....anyone who watched a chaminade game at the time knew that Beason on off and defense was just someone that jumped off..and u wouldnt even knew cook was on the field most of the time.

* You heard about the Davin Josephs..and then went to see Hallandale play and see a big guy just mauling people.

Those werejust football players...who did their thing on the field and made plays...not camp/workout warriors. Think we got away from it a little bit and get caught up in the camp/prototype size thing.

Jermaine Grace to me is a sure fire prospect. When u see Miramar play you see this kid constantly and that was even last year. Kid gained some weight since last year so he is showing their is growth potential. He is a shoe in imo....

Are you referring to Chaminade as the little brother/FIU of MacArthur?

Does anybody think Genron's opinion is worthy? He stated that he thinks Grace will be a bigger get than Matthew Thomas. Although he said UM needs to go in the direction of getting some big bruising LBs to compensate for the abysmal DL.

Maybe he will be better than Thomas. Who knows? No one thought Spence would be better than Bradham.

Isnt Thomas only 205 soaking wet or something like that? I STILL don't get the unbelievable hype surrounding this guy. People have made him out to be some kind of 6'3 225lb HS senior that runs like Sean Taylor and hits like Ray Lewis. Dafug?

If this 215 is true, Grace is already bigger than Thomas. So is Alex Collins.

I won't be surprised one bit if a kid like Grace or Collins makes a bigger impact than Thomas.

This "hype" you are referring to Thomas as having is because he is the best defensive talent out of Dade County in 10 years. He can dominate a game in so many different ways it's nearly unfathomable. He will start from day 1 and be one of the all-time greats. Mark it down.

I know a lot of people don't like Genron, but when he speaks, I listen. He has been around all of these kids for years and has watched them play more than anybody. While I don't particularly agree with him on this one, it's just more evidence that Grace is the real deal.

Pete, any updates on Grace or Thomas in regards to recruiting. How ya feeling with their recruitment for the Canes?

Grace is a Cane, only a matter of time. Last I heard was that he was planning on doing a signing day announcement, but Cameron might have more on that.

As far as Thomas, nothing has really changed. It's still Miami-FSU, but I see him winding up here.

Thomas is the best LB prospect to come out of south florida since Willie. I love me some Grace, but Big 6 is that dude.

Last I heard from him a couple weeks ago was that he is still planning a signing day announcement. I would be ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED if he's not a Cane.

I don't really see your point. Is Chaminade in debt to you and MacArthur for using the field? I don't see the connection here. Who cares if your friends were zoned for your school, they played at Chaminade lol.
