OSU Offense looking a little……..suspect. Hmmmmm 🤔

I'm telling you, the loss of Kevin Wilson was a BIG DEAL for that program.

OSU's wide open passing offense wasn't a thing until Wilson got there. Day was always an up-and-comer but his offenses at the college level were not what we saw from OSU the last 3-4 seasons. Even with Meyer, they won a championship because Zeke Elliott was a beast and that OL pushed around Bama/Oregon, and Urban didn't have multiple first rounders at the WR position during his time at Florida.

All that is to say that I think the days of OSU being the wide open, light 'em up offense are on the way down, and that'll be a good thing in this recruitment.

Perhaps I am out of my mind, but I believe OSU is on their way down. Saban going to retire soon. Things are changing and I am ecstatic about where we are and where we are headed.
They May be on their way down, but nobody should expect the fall to be anything major - until it actually happens at least. Over the last like 30 years they have a 81.9% win%, and 19 seasons of 11+ wins...

Clock must only run for an Ohio St games.

We just hung 48 on a defense full of 5-stars…but the clock was moving way too fast to put up points.

Youngstown St just does this to teams.

Lol. I thought someone did the math and the rule changes results in an approximate loss of 8-10 plays. Did I read that right?

This is what happens when you don’t have a Bona fide AA at QB in a QB friendly system. It’s why teams like osu, Clemson, bama (and possibly soon uga) don’t look as dominant this year.

It’s actually less. It’s about 2 plays per game less for each team thus far.

From FootballScoop

“Thus far through this young season, FBS teams are running an average of 66.9 plays per game in 2023. Last year, the average was 68.7, according to an analysis of CFBStats.com data. Thus, in actuality, each team is only running about two less plays per game (4 total per game considering both teams).”
