I love geno he is from here but u really gon stand on him having one good year in 11 years as a model for dawson? Lmao bruh and a track record of one qb a decade plus ago is enough to convince u? Our standards are in the dirt

And im not denying osu put bums in the nfl im saying no school is consistently developing nfl qbs. If they are getting qbs drafted high then they are doing a better job than almost every other college.

Also reading a defense is ground level **** for qbs lol dan orlovsky could read all the defenses but he was terrible.

Ohio didn't put SOME bums in the NFL. They are ALL bums. All of them. Stroud is a rookie. From Heisman candidates to NFL bums.

I give Dawson more credit because the QBs he had were left overs and diamonds in the rough. Getting Thune drafted was a miracle project. Ohio gets to pick from top table. The very top table.

U are underrating how terrible their NFL transistion project has been for QBs. The one Ohio QB who transistioned.....had to go to LSU in Burrows and we will see what Ewers does.

Let's not just sit here and pretend that Ohio State hasn't put WR in the 1st round of the draft for however many years in a row and will have another guy going in the top 10 come April. One 'uneven' performance in a conference game coupled with 1 impressive FSU performance isn't changing that fact.

If anybody that watches football thought their qbs before fields or stroud were real nfl prospects them this convo is pointless lol I could understand haskins but even he was clearly not nfl level to me.

The main point here is they have bad nfl prospects thats why they are trash in the nfl. Thats what yall are ignoring, so saying dawson is takin projects and diamonds in the rough after agreeing qb rankings are heavily flawed is hilarious as **** lol. How can u give credit for getting tune drafted but **** on them getting ***** cordale jones drafted bruh lmao

Them getting bad nfl prospects drafted is doing a good job, if those same guys went anywhere else no one would know who they are. They maximized them and won hella games, they did their job

You making a point and arguing against it. YOU said they are bad NFL prospects. I didn't. They get to pick from the elite rated QBs in high school. I said they are not preparing to transistion to be great in the NFL..thats my stance. Never said they were bad prospects. I said they were bums in the NFL. No ones has time to teach u basics in the NFL. That gets coaches fired. So no. Jones is the only one who was underrated, every other QB they got was elite athletics and got drafted because of that.

I know no HS recruited receiver caught a pass and I think none of them even got in the game. That has to be something you can use to recruit against them at the HS level.

Didn’t we just agree that qb ratings are flawed tho? So why u using that as a point lol is that not contradicting yourself.

But answer this, tell me the colleges that consistently produces nfl qbs.

Once u think about it you will see that where u go to college doesn’t matter as much as the development you have been getting since u were in optimist football, in high school and all the extra time u put into your own craft. By the time u get to college these coaches at schools like osu are trying to win games not prepare u to be the best nfl qb, they will sharpen the tools u already have to make u the best version of u…But if they put u in a great situation where u perform well and them u go on to get drafted high, they did their job the rest is on the player.

No inside knowledge whatsoever but my guess is OSU offered him ca$h to visit Columbus this weekend. They are protecting their investment by throwing some more money at it.
