5 star players typically show up on campus capable of preforming like 5 star players. Yes they need to be developed but if they were truly worthy of 5 star status the floor is high and the ceiling is within reach.

It's the same for a lot of coaches. The culture a coach establishes + surrounding 5 star players with peers of equal skill level push them to reach their potential and are what coaches can do to get the most out of them. Mario is elite at both of those things. He isn't an elite game day coach but that's more of a W's and L's problem than a talent development problem.
