That wasn’t my point at all. I said year one was all bc of Mario, not the team. Everyone wants to blame the roster and say year 2 is progress bc of the previous year. When in reality it’s a reset. A complete restart. It has nothing to do with last year and shouldn’t be compared to it.
I said stop comparing last year to this year. Last year was setting your house on fire instead of remodeling. When the new one is built in its place, it’s not progress. It’s completely separate and new.
It’s really not. Last year was the equivalent of sandbagging. Mario took the team he was given and made it worse. He then blew up his entire staff and hired people with completely different philosophies on both sides of the ball. The true dishonest thing is to compare this years team to last years.
