I think it will be quicker than 2-3 years… But I shared many of your concerns and he wasn't my first choice either.

Nah that wasn't the case…Before the last 11 runs by Chaney protecting the lead in the final minutes (the goof got that part of protecting a lead correct before the idiotic decision to not take a knee)…In a night where it was wet all night with periods of downpour and our QB playing like absolute ****... The run/pass ratio was 50/50…You do realize Tennessee, Bama, Tulane, Ole Miss, TCU, UNC, Ohio St... all ran the ball significantly more than they passed it last year right? And this is before we even will get into good offenses like Utah and Georgia who you would probably consider "Bro ball"

I realize that we are built to be a pass and tempo type of team not bro-ball. We will never win as a bro-ball team. Not on any significant level.

Totally in agreement with you…The loss was catastrophic. Has to be difficult for players to trust him, no matter what they are saying in the media.

But we aren't a bro ball team that's my point…We aren't sitting in some antiquated I form running into the line. Georgia just won b2b ships with what many of you consider bro ball...

And my second point is what many of you consider bro-ball isn't bro ball, and doesn't win. You need balance and physicality…It's that simple. None of this finesse 60+% type passing offenses win…EVER. EVER EVER EVER. They don't win.

Many people in here worship Lane Kiffin…I like alot of what he does on offense I'll admit. Do you see how many times he's running his battering ram Quinshon Judkins into the line?

I wanted Freeze but I knew tht was never ever happening. The money was behind Mario so that’s what it was going to be. Between Norvell, Napier and Mario - he’s the worst game coach and it isn’t close and Napier isn’t that good either. Time is running out. I don’t think he’s flipping anyone of significance. I think we need to worry about holding our own. I think we’ll lose some.

Besides DT I'm not sure he needs to flip anyone…The class is very good every where else…I would have liked one stud interior OL. DT has been a failure so let's see what they do in the portal with it. He rebuilt the interior OL via portal last year…So if he nabs us 1-2 portal DT…Then we have to crush it next year.

Burroughs is a great start.

As bad as it was to lose to FIU and MTSU, that kneeling event sapped the life out of me for multiple reasons some of which you reference. He knew man. He knew kneeling wins it and chose the hand off. So destructive. I can’t rationalize it away. Never mind the recruits present to see that. The thought of what that did to our team just eats me.

Yup had real momentum on field and on recruiting trail for first time in forever…And I mean real momentum

Not the brief flash we saw from D.King and Diaz keeping some kids home during covid year…And even more than it felt with Richt in '17.

He has to do it in the portal. I disagree on the class. OL and CB are also subpar. They don’t recruit speed with ball skills at corner. They recruit big safety types and move them there. Jimmy would recruit a safety and make him a LB. Speed kills. This is the opposite. They need to get rid of Addae too.

Land the two from Mainland and Flip two elite kids(CB/WR). Don’t care what anyone says, the class would be a massive success.

Do I think those four are happening? Not as of now. Even two would still help get us moving in the right direction.

Restrepo is pretty **** good, so I'm not sure what you want there. No he's not Santana Moss but I think he'll play in the NFL. I think it's more on Van Dyke than him though for going to Restrepo too much….Seems to lock on and have tunnel vision. Before the season if you ask me who was going to lead the team in receptions it would have been Restrepo. Anyway I'm not sure how throwing too much to a slot wide receiver equates to a bro ball philosophy.

Already addressed the tight end last week in this week in those threads…You can't have everything in every offense, but I think it's too early to close the book on the tight ends. Especially with Arroyo just starting to play again now. I too would like to see more of them, and more dump offs in the flat instead of forcing the ball downfield into coverage.

Again I'm fine with Addae for the time being.

And I really like Ryan Mack. We have a whole list lindend put together winter and spring of fast corners we recruited…If you want to say we didn't land them ok, but they definitely recruited them. Damari Brown is a good start and I like Stafford as well. Frederique is a little raw but has the CoachMacho stamp of approval…Not sure if we have any track times there for RF? Looks fast in the return game.

I think DB recruiting struggles are being blown out of proportion on this board. I'll agree it could be better but failure? No I just don't see that.
 
I loathe both teams but I gotta root for Penn St here

Ohio St should have lost to ND and one more loss would take them out of the discussion

We all know the NCAA will look for any reason to get them in the playoff
