I grew up in Belleville and went to Althoff Catholic.

And I never said Illinois wasn't in the picture. I actually think they are the biggest threat to us. I think it's crazy to say he's a done deal there though, and even crazier to say he's a pckage deal with Estes, who seems like he's sticking with Mizzou.

What I do know from having grown up nearby and then attended UM is that Miami/Coral gables is going to seem like paradise to a kid visiting from ESL, especially in January. If he follows through with his visit and connects with the players/staff, I have a very good feeling he picks Miami.

Coach Sunkett also has a very good relationship with Coach Kool, so I'm sure he'd have no issue with Thomas picking Miami

All I can say is the kid likes MIA (as well as a few other schools) and he isn't coming for a weekend vacation

I'm a sucker for speedy WR's. Kevin Williams was my favorite WR growing up as a kid because no one could stick him and he made others look stupid with his two-step. Miami is king of killing it with the Santana Moss's, Daryl Jones's, Roscoe Parrish's, Travis Benjamin's, Dorsett's of the world. Randy and Golden didnt recruit enough of these type of kids. Glad Richt's getting back to putting speed back on the field.

No coach is recruiting Thomas harder than Mark Richt, who will host speedy receiver on Jan. 20.

My source reiterated that Thomas wants to play on the national stage for a potential National Championship, and that's why Alabama led much of the process. Thomas has improved off the field which has brought schools like the Hurricanes back into play here.
