Jeff Thomas sticking with Illinois. NOT!

**** you you don’t know **** about me.

Perhaps not, but Ive learned a massive amount about how you go about interacting with others here. And that's all I really care about.

You could be Mother Theresa or Charles Manson off of this board and it would be of no consequence to me either way. However, on this board you've consistently proven yourself to be one who is not open minded or interested in the substantive "back and forth" of debate. Your quoted post here openly admits that.

Have a wonderful day.

Man you must have nothing better to do then to monitor my posts. I know it’s your job but find something better to do then worry about what I post on here. I could give a **** what you and anyone else thinks about me on here. I’m here to have some fun, read some informative and funny posts, and contribute when I can.

Just a thought, if Haselwood was a Sooners fan this whole time, why didnt he just commit there in the first place.
No he wasn't. He was down for Miami until our offense imploded. He had 3 visits to Miami. Two of them were on his own dime with his family. You don't waste time and money bringing your family to SF if you don't have a serious interest.

From what I've read, Thomas is a bit of a troubled individual. I don't know him from Adam so, he could be the nicest dude in the world but he's had issues with schools and coaches in the past and continued having them at Miami. He's certainly an exciting player but appears to be a bit of a headache. SF Bay already explained his eligibility situation and it seems unlikely he'll get it straightened out. It's not just the transfer rules. He has a load of class work to do just to be eligible. He didn't just quit the team mid season, he quit school mid semester.

Gut feel.

He quit on his high school team, tried to quit UM after his freshman season (coaches talked him out of it) then quit mid-season and most importantly, mid-semester. So in order for him to play at another D1 school he'll have to make up the classes he didn't complete this semester at UM and be a full time student at Illinois for one full academic year before being eligible to play again.

Had he stayed at UM he would have been the marquee guy in 2019 and been in prime position to get drafted in the 2020 draft. Now he'll have to do what I listed above then play for Illinois in 2020 and go into the 2021 draft. I will be very surprised if he can hold up through all of that. Just my opinion.

Had he transferred to a lower division school he could have played in 2019 and entered the 2020 draft but instead he chose Illinois so he has to sit out 2019. Questionable move.

I can foresee a scenario where he just uses Illinois as a practice spot in 2019 then declaring for the 2020 draft after not playing the 2019 season. He'll go undrafted but will likely get a UFA opportunity with some NFL squad. But that would mean he never plays another CFB game (my prediction). This is the most probable outcome IMO.
It was a dumb decision all together to leave Miami but that’s on him. 1 more year to make a pay day and now you just delayed that

Can you enlighten us as to why it was dumb to say? Sounds about right to me.

Also, that’s a pretty poor trait to have re: not changing your mind. Is the earth still flat, Kyrie?
New school, new staff, new teammates and a few of his teammates are guys he played with in high school, fresh start, closer to home where his family and kid are. He’s gonna be happier and will not **** up this time around. What else you wanna know?

If he quit school mid semester, that tells you how serious he takes education. It's easy to say it doesn't matter he'll still end up in the NFL, but how dumb do you have to be to **** away an opportunity that others dream of.

Yeah, I believe he'll eventually end up in the NFL but he's really handicapped his future with his actions. The NFL isn't crazy about 5'9" receivers but a productive junior season at Miami and he could have been a mid round pick. Now, he's got to sit out a season at Illinois, while catching up on the missed credits he didn't earn this year at Miami, to attempt to play again in 2020. For a bad team not known to produce skill position talent. ,
