JaWand Blue

same thing was said about Dallas Crawford.

Not really...Dallas was very active on the scout team...MVP I believe...killer on special teams...People knew DC was still active and playing

Still waiting for Golden to develop one of these guys that weren't a nationally recruited 4-5 star.

Guys like Blue, Hoilett, Hope, Dortch, O'Donnell, Moore, Jones all have yet to make an impact. This is their third year in the program. We should start seeing results from these players who weren't obvious players; players that Golden and staff have to hang their evaluations on.

Didn't Dortch transfer iirc??

Hope has been coming on hot as of late it seems and jones looks good so far in those propaganda cane clips we see

The other cats I think just hold the water bottles and towels

Dortch is still on the roster.

I don't care what reports we hear about players in camp. If you're not producing on Saturday's then you're not producing.

I know this has been discussed before, but I do think that some of these guys have been purposely held back to allow them to develop physically and mentally. Doing so, if true, would certainly have negatively impacted the play of the defense in the short term. Allowing the less talented upperclassmen to "take the lumps" for the longer term good of the program may have been a calculated move by this staff. Whether that would be a good move or not is definitely debatable, but it also might explain why AG has been so supportive and thankful for the seniors who "stuck with the program". Complete speculation on my part, and not an excuse for the ****-poor defense. Just saying that there may be some method to this madness.

Right cause we havent just been begging for someone to step up for us at MLB......

They, for the most part, haven't played because they are behind better players.

EXACTLY! We will know by the start of THIS season if those players mentioned will ever play. King and Crow are also obviously on that list behind the "Man of Mystery" David Perry, but they all have very talented freshmen coming in the fall. If you see any of those previously mentioned names behind a freshman on the depth chart 3 years in, they may as well transfer if they're smart.

I saw O'Donnell at breakfast a few months ago in Coral Gables and the dude looks like a First baseman. Tall and lean, doesn't look like a football player.

Kid looks like one of the most physically imposing players on the team. Passes the eye test by a mile.

Hope he can translate that to results on the field.

It's funny how everyone wants guys to red shirt, but then write them off if they don't dominate by their R-Fr season.

Might be a late bloomer

This...Al thinks some of him, he mentioned him the other day in a positive note.

We need kids like this on the team and not transfer out. They know the system, injuries happen all the time. They may not be the most talented, but they can play a role, the coaches and players know what to work with. Hang in there young man! Also, he is not the big dude from University School that Shannon brought in that NOBODY wanted. This kid and a few others that will get passed on the depth charts are Al's kids and others wanted them. WE NEED THESE types to stay.

There is no telling if he's talented or not.

With this current coaching crew doing the game planning, lineups, and evaluations, he could be a superstar on another team, and we wouldn't know until we played them, and he stuffed us every play.
