Won't be choosing Miami.

It's that time of year when decisions have to be made from Miami's side and this is one of them. Not a priority target for them at DB.

Peter Ariz is derrick smith from trinity a take for the staff? He has been saying miami leads for a minute now.

This would imply that bandy's in, j dean is in , they are confident herderson sticks, Brian Edwards is in, and maybe Wilson or a CB committed to fsuterus will flip to us.

Borderline IMO.... they are still after Amari Carter, Cyrus ***an and Daniel Wright still.... he is clearly the 4th option after them

I terms of CB recruiting, I think that we are in strong position with Edwards and Jean. Everyone else, not so much.

I think people are getting their hopes up with Wilson . Golden and his rejects fcked that uo for us

Pete this is probably an impossible question, but let's say down the road Miami misses on let's say ***an and Wright for example after turning down guys like Burgess that would be takes under Golden early on... Do you think Miami would be able to get a guy like Burgess in the boat last minute before NSD? I just wonder bc it's easier to get 3-star nobody into a class than some guys that are borderline or legit 4-stars. Just interested if the dynamics change like that since we have fewer guys to choose from

Name one AH we landed since hiring Rumph ? I thought it was an excellent hire at first now not so much .

...I would assume that rumph was steering his kids away from Miami mainly cause of golden so it's probably tough now that he is on the Miami coaching staff. Probably having to make up for a lot of lost time. This is a marathon not a sprint. In 2-3 years is when the the results should be judged.

Who has he landed not talking AH kids either. Rumph wants to impress me land Spears. Not worried about Wilson as much as spears . Spears can help next year Wilson not so sure . 2018 is loaded land bandy , Henderson , Edwards and Spears solid db class

Golden shouldn't be blamed if we don't land Marco Wilson. The worst staff of all time royally botched the Ryan Mayes > Quincy Wilson eval and everyone knew it at the time, but...

- New staff is in place with their first full year on the trail, which gives every top program a boost.
- Every member of the staff that didn't offer his brother is now gone.
- Wilson's former HS coach, Rumph, is his primary recruiter and would be his position coach at Miami.
- Our CB situation couldn't possibly be more appealing to premier corners wanting to earn early playing time.

Some can suddenly label Brini as overrated or question Davis since he's a heavy UF lean, but winning the battle for Wilson would be huge. Henderson/Edwards/Bandy would be a nice haul, but we need another top CB to join that group to make up for the last 3 years on the trail. Especially when Mayes and Henley will be 2 of the 5 CBs on scholarship starting next year.

Who is spears? And you do know that the staff is only recruiting 2 players from heritage in this year class? Also just because they are dbs doesnt mean rumph is the main recruiter. You recruit by areas not position.

Banda gets all this praise of being a "great" recruiter but who has he landed?

I've always have questioned davis and said he was a UF lean since Day 1

Actually the way it looks, both the area recruiter and position coach recruit a kid

Of course you are in contact with your position coach but the main recruiter is who you will be in contact with the most.

Why are people so willing to write off Rumph as a bad hire when we haven't even played a single snap yet?
So, if our CB's are improved from last year & guys are playing with sound technique and getting PD's & INT's that doesn't matter??
It's just all about landing kids from AH that counts now? Smh... That's simply unfair.
Are you guys forgetting how difficult it is to get Elite South Fla kids to come to Miami in general, just because Rumph used to coach at AH doesn't guarantee us any of those players. And quite honestly, if those divas don't wanna come here, then to **** with'em.
At least give the guy a full **** season before we nitpick everything & start being hyper critical over the hire.
