Obviously these different FL schools played at different levels through the years 2A/ 3A /4A but they played each other every year no matter what non conference local games.Cocoa has been a high level program for decades.
Other Brevard teams (Rockledge, Palm Bay, Merritt Island) have had some great teams, but no one is consistent like Cocoa.
Love it.Obviously these different FL schools played at different levels through the years 2A/ 3A /4A but they played each other every year no matter what non conference local games.
Back in the day when Brevard County was more or less just rivers, lakes, trees and farm pastures Cocoa was the worst football program to exist but not any more.
As far as I know Melbourne Bulldogs won the first State Championship (2A) in Brevard County FL back in 1966
Merritt Island Mustangs dominated the 70's winning State Championships (4A) in 72/78/79
Palm Bay Pirates carried with the success of Xavier Carter and Reggie Nelson won State Championships in (6A) 2000 and (4A) 2002
Rockledge Raiders (RAIDER PRIDE!!!) won Back to Back State Championships in (3A) 2001/2002 with Hunter Pingston. Could have won another but Belle Glades was our kryptonite. Rockledge and Palm Bay games in the early 2000's was unreal to watch. Rockledge and Cocoa play each other every year its known as the BBQ BOWL and it is typically a dog fight but Rockledge has fallen off the tracks since Cocoa's continued success.
Cocoa Tigers have had an unprecedented run in Brevard County FL starting off with Back to Back to Back State Championships in (3A) 2008/ (Chevelle Buie 2009/ (2A) in 2010 (4A) 2016 Back to Back in (2S) 2022/2023. They have also won 17 straight Regional Finals which is mind boggling.
Brevard County produces talent, Cocoa is most definitely the top dog in town.
As someone who went to Palm bay during that time they are an absolute embarrassingObviously these different FL schools played at different levels through the years 2A/ 3A /4A but they played each other every year no matter what non conference local games.

Pitt annually has one of the top dline’s in the country and produce talent there tbhright? Visiting Pitt just threw me off
I'd add Astronaut High too with Wilbur Marshall and Chris Collingsworth, Although there both turds! They've had some good teams in the past. Cocoa has been dominating though for like 15 years now. They recruit & raid the whole county.Obviously these different FL schools played at different levels through the years 2A/ 3A /4A but they played each other every year no matter what non conference local games.

Rather he go there than UF.Pitt annually has one of the top dline’s in the country and produce talent there tbh
Facts. Pitt just has the most no aura vibe imaginable. No energy whatsoeverI watched Pitt play Clemson last Saturday and im sorry but you dont go to Pitt if you have a chance to go to Texas or **** even FSU. That coach is awful. Gave the game away. Yes, the DC is pretty good but...that place just looked depressing. Lol. At least on TV it did...Nothing about Pitt looked enticing.
