Yup.

We have the worst fans in the country— making it a racial or political issue if Tate won was always the probable outcome. It could never be accepted that Manny and Enos just like his overall game better.

I’m sure somewhere out there Uncle Puke is in his office surrounded by crumpled up balls of paper as he carefully attempts to draft the most ignorant and divisive race-based tweet he can, complete with threats of Manny losing south Florida players.

95% of our fans didn’t even know what the F the word “faction” meant two days ago.
You are a vet and this is a dumb *** post, this has nothing to do with race, it has to do with perceived performance on the field. We could have a KKK member or AlQaeda member as Our QB of he was throwing touchdowns and winning games we wouldn’t give a ****, neither would u

It came from an internet message board.
People are repeating it so matter-of-factly on here I figured there had to be some actual basis. I don't have n>=30 to make this statistically significant, but the people (extremely close and influential to the program who i do know) are really NOT advocating for Tate. Plainly, the ones who've even talked about the QB situation genuinely don't care who starts. They don't get into these kinda details like we do on message boards. This has turned outright weird.

I have a very hard time believing that any "boosters," such that we may have, are invested in the QB race to the point where they are in the ears of the coaches.

Alternative Version:

"I'm good" - No, like I'm really good at this quarterbacking thing.

"No handouts not askin for help" - I know how to QB1. Sit your *** on the bench Martell and Perry, don't need you showing me ****.

"Ten Toes" - I got all my foot digits and im'ma use them to step on some necks.

"Bout mine, best believe imma step" - Don't have to worry about me coach, I ain't going to steal no crab legs from Publix.
Yup, Told ya. lol

Man, you’re literally pulling this out of your ***.

You have no idea who, and even if, boosters are advocating for anybody. Manny is too fūcking busy getting the team ready to even have contact with boosters right now. Jesus Christ.

Exactly.
I gotta better understand what some of you are saying about boosters. I know a handful. They are NOT advocating for Tate. Where does this stuff originate?

Like the Texas situation with Charlie Strong.

Major donors at big programs make their opinions known.

I find it hard to believe that it hasn’t come up. To what degree, I have no idea. There has probably been advocating for all three of the qbs.

But like I said, I don’t believe any of this will affect the decision.

If people want to leave, let em. It’ll be a much more attractive destination for an elite recruit like Garcia & if he’s that legit I can see something similar to Hurts/Tua or Lawrence/Kelly when/if he arrives.
In the midst of all this nonsense on this thread you sir have stated the one true fact! Have to get Garcia. Have too! He’s our Watson or Lawrence.

So you don't like Jarren because he "waffles" and considered transferring (under a terrible Offensive coaching staff who showed no signs of giving him a fair shot). So since Tate DID in fact transfer, I guess he's a "waffler" too and can't be a leader? Guess your choice is Perry?

Listen clearly, the only way i'd respect transfer tate is if he became the starter and helped us to win a national title, other than that, you got damyum right, i cant call him a waffler cause i dont know if ever got talked into not transferring at least one time, but what we do know, that **** ran from competition and came here cause he thought he had a better chance at starting here. So him and jw15 are in he same boat with me. We never should've let crock berlin in here, the hand writing was on the wall once that happened.

You guys who been getting hyped over transfer tate transferring in should be ashamed of yourselves, really, that **** hasnt done **** worthy at the college level of note, and he lacks confidence. This aint intramurals, he's already been a loser at ohigho fake, and if he doesnt win the job here, where does he go from there, BETHUNE COOKMAN! He's damyum near on the verge of being a 2 time loser. And you really think jw15 had a leg to stand on with the transfer talk, he didnt even know the playbook but was threatening to transfer!

This isn’t Canesville. Ben Hill Griffin literally said “I’ll turn over in my grave if a black QB ever plays for UF.” It was a huge controversy when they signed Chris Leak. Many boosters at the time were ****ed he was playing.

I always heard this growing up. I have looked for information to determine if it was real or just a legend.

Bobby Bowden playing black qbs is one of the reasons so many of the people I grew up with were FSU fans.

The big money guys have access to the coach.

Some here seem to have the idea that coaches are completely isolated from their opinions. Nothing about college football, or any other realm, has ever indicated that was true in my experience.

The big money gets heard. It can sometimes sway decisions. People are afraid there will be factors off the field that will influence the outcome.

I think there is some truth to what Umovement posted, but it’s hard to discuss these things without people getting emotional.

I trust that Manny and Enos will make the decision based exclusively on wins and losses, regardless of any noise about qb,scheme, punter, or anything else.

I knew it wouldn’t be long before the “ it’s political or racial “ narrative started getting pushed. I knew one would we coming sooner than later.

It only takes one idiot spewing bs to start that mess. Its total bs, then throwing in “ booster driven “ makes it look even more ridiculous.

Couldn’t we at least wait until the qb is chosen before going all booger eating conspiracy theorist ?
I mentioned this shytbag movement a couple weeks ago. It’s been obvious with all the dumb groupies being too invested in particular guys without the benefit of any real data. They’ve been sowing the political (read: racial) seeds of discontent since Tate got here.

It’s a **** shame there are so many **** stirring losers in this fanbase who use this program as their pulpit from which to hurl *****.

Don’t agree with what the guy said, but assh0les need to stop making this about politics and race. Not that it matters, but I don’t believe Miami has had a white QB since Kyle Wright.

Marve and Jacory split reps in 08.

I still think we would have been on a better trajectory if we had gave Williams the nod and worked Kaaya in slowly in 14.

Kaaya didn’t even get early enrolled for spring reps, iirc.

I think some of his poise issues were the result of Golden rushing him too soon.
