Soooooo he’ll be on campus in a few months? Isn’t that unusually late to “commit” as a walk on or whatever?

And if he is a walk on, he probably was accepted a while ago but wanted to take his time to see if he wanted to attend UM. He also may have been waiting to hear about some pending scholarships. Either way congrats to the kid.

Marshall Few was a preferred walk on that honestly likely is better than some of our scholly wr's and that earned him a scholly. Hoping this kid can do the same

Nothing wrong with being a preferred walk on. I tried to walk on and was unpreferred......

And a UM legend....yes, he was a legend, Albert Bentley, was not even preferred.

The story I heard many years ago was that he was a student, showed up at the football offices, and the coaches tried to run him off. He persisted.

Go back and watch our first NC game and how he produced for us.

I believe he played in both the USFL and NFL and became a 1000 yard rushers in the USFL.

Bentley was from Immokalee when the muck produced great players. Renfro at Clemson was a walk on. At worst a practice player at best a productive guy who earns a scholarship.
