2026 Jamichael "Jmike" Garrett 4* LB from Auburn, AL committed to Auburn

Jamichael Garrett is another Auburn LB commit we're trying to flip. My spidey sense is tingling here, something is going on. Recently signed w/Miami NIL reps, Heatherman visited, then he posts a Facetime w/Mario. Prior to that, he visited for Junior day last year.

Doesn’t it seem like almost every coach adds weight? Some of it is just normal aging, but I also think the job is so consuming that personal health is almost forgotten.

This is a dude, but I won’t believe a kid that goes to Auburn HS signed with the University of Miami until I see him on the field in our uniform.

Corey Hetherman has identified a linebacker in the South that he's all in on pursuing.

On Tuesday evening, Auburn (Ala.) Top247 linebacker JaMichael Garrett posted that he was FaceTiming with head coach Mario Cristobal. Shortly after, InsideTheU caught up with the Auburn commit to discuss his interest in the Hurricanes.

"Honestly, Miami is probably recruiting me harder than the school I'm committed to right now if I'm being honest," Garrett said. "All the coaches, almost every coach on the coaching staff text me every day, ask me how I'm doing, call, talk to me. Ever since [Hetherman] came to talk to me, they just been pushing pretty hard. They're making a push for my recruitment. Miami is a top two school for me."

Interesting recruitment, I was hesitant because Auburn high but he just transferred there this semester. He is originally from Mobile(different culture from Auburn) and his pops is a die hard Miami fan

@DMoney with the first listing of key recruits in the 26 recruiting cycle in the 1/31 Bank.

At linebacker, the Canes love Izayia Williams (Orlando), Tyler Atkinson (Atlanta), Jordan Campbell (Carol City), Karon Maycock (Central) and Shadarius Toodle (Auburn commit from Mobile whose dad is a lifelong Canes fan).​

They probably played for Gulf Coast athletics 7 on 7 team. I'd be interested in seeing how this plays out.

Gulf Shores recruited a ton of kids over the last few years when they went city school (6A now- same as Spanish Fort) I find it interesting that a kid commits to Auburn and then transfers to Auburn High. Sounds like a placement to me.

I also don't see Toodle from Cottage Hill coming to Miami.

Jones from St. Pauls is a dude. I'd love to get him.
