2026 Jamichael "Jmike" Garrett 4* LB from Auburn, AL committed to Auburn

I don't think state laws allow coaching at all three of those schools. Might be a conflict of interest.

I live in Daphne and have worked in SF and Fairhope
I don’t coach sports at all 3 schools. However I do work with kids from the Eastern shore. Multiple ways to work with student athletes.

I live in Fairhope. It’s a great spot. You should visit if you get a chance.

Bama and Auburn is 99% of the population. I’ve run across a few Canes the last few years here.
Besides Saraland what highschool is worth a **** in that area ?

Fairhope is one of the hidden gems of the south although I hear its changing with a lot of construction nearby and transplants moving in.

Haha. I know. Just having fun. Been here since 2015. Great place to raise kids.

What kind of work are you doing with local athletes if you don' mind me asking

Fairhope has some great areas. Construction isn't quite as bad as in Daphne and Spanish Fort, but it is getting more built out. Infrastructure isn't there to support the population growth. Selfishly hoping it slows down some

Saraland is across Mobile Bay north of Mobile. Philip Rivers is the head coach at the local Catholic HS in Baldwin County, St. Michaels. One of his 5011 kids is their QB now. Already offered by Auburn. Spanish Fort is always loaded every year. Gulf Shores finally started investing in sports and is getting pretty good too. Will be interesting to see how good Saraland is without Ryan Williams and KJ Lacey. I'm sure they will just go recruit from the other schools like they always do. Hoping Kenny King can finally turn the corner at Daphne. Seems like a great guy.

They probably played for Gulf Coast athletics 7 on 7 team. I'd be interested in seeing how this plays out.

Gulf Shores recruited a ton of kids over the last few years when they went city school (6A now- same as Spanish Fort) I find it interesting that a kid commits to Auburn and then transfers to Auburn High. Sounds like a placement to me.

I also don't see Toodle from Cottage Hill coming to Miami.

Jones from St. Pauls is a dude. I'd love to get him.

A couple of things:

1) although Garrett posted and it's been reported that he transferred to AHS, he hasn't made the move yet.

2) It's not a placement for AU. There are connections with the AHS head coach.

3) Auburn's fangs are deep in Toodle and his family. I agree with you. I don't see him coming to Miami. That one (recruitment) is definitely all business.

They load back up , they been on top prior to them . Hopefully you’re right but the better teams are in the Birmingham area Phoenix city area district .

Well everything hinges on Auburn's season. Like last season, it is certainly not a hard SEC schedule. I personally don't think much of Freeze as a head coach and much less of him as a person. Lord knows, they gave him everything needed to succeed this season. If he doesn't win, he's fired as soon as possible. He has been worse than Harsin. I will be watching that opening Baylor game.

Agreed. Much bigger and more established area.
They put money into the coaches for sure . I don’t believe Florida highschool make what Alabama highschool coaches make . I could be wrong but last time I looked those top highschool coaches make good money
