great clip of the titans' FO telling a bunch of their roster bubble guys, including williams, that they made the roster. i was a titans fan before i was a canes fan, so this is pretty cool. they REALLY like him at ILB and he has flashed numerous times in the preseason even though you can tell he's still getting his bearings out there. i think he has the tools to start there eventually, and it sure seems like they think that too.

I don't know any of these kids but, as a father, I felt a sense of pride for each of them. Thanks for sharing!

Shame, I’d be excited for the young man, but he did not meet my personal expectations while he was on a college roster. Though I am a fully grown adult, I am unable to separate personal feelings of disappointment with his past from my perspective on his future as a pro.

This player failed at his primary role, which is to make me happy. As such, I will be posting gifs of Djimon Hounsou saying “Who?” as a ritualistic means of acknowledging and yet ignoring his future success.

May God rest souls.

I wish we could have just played him at linebacker here. He supposedly was against the move and we had NOBODY else at safety so I get it but ****.

Verse is technically a LB but is he really? I watched him a few times this year and seemed way more like a DE to me but I get it. But when you start calculating sacks and TFLs it makes a difference

So there were no adult Coaches on the Staff to say “We need you at LB JW and you Grade out better for the league there”?
Was “Alonzo Frekin Highsmith” not on the staff when JW was here?
Even better tell me who was the guy that you would have wanted at safety during that time other than JW? Did we recruit a starting caliber Safety? Did we bring a GUY in through the portal? Do we have a GUY yet?
I hate to be the one to break it to you but Most Coaches don’t give a **** about the nfl it’s a can you help me now, the clock is ticking!!!
The bottom line is JW was bandage at Safety for Miami during his time here, We NEEDED JW @ Safety!

Newsflash in the inmates now run the asylum.

Not much to debate on this… he held the cards while here.

When he didn’t hold the cards and didn’t have the option to play anything else but LB he caved… because he didn’t have a choice anymore.

I guess I’d be more interested to see if he believes he made the right choice by digging his heels in on the position change…if he regrets it?

Would he be willing to comeback and talk to the team and tell them to listen to the coaches because they know what they’re talking about?

When Harbaugh was at Stanford he had a decent WR that he thought was better suited to play CB and told him so after the kid’s sophomore year. The kid listened and Richard Sherman made out pretty well listening to his coach.
