I actually see UGA taking a step back this year. They aren’t even close to Bama talent wise this year and the one thing that saves them is they basically get to play Bama at home ever year. They had a bunch of underclassmen come out for the draft last year and a lot of unproven players at this point!

You obviously don't know **** about Miami, or the recruiting landscape down here.
Bag$ are used to lure kids away from their family, friends, community, girlfriends etc... to some racist *** college town.
Not to keep them home in beautiful South FL repping their city in front of their family, friends and community.
Not all elite kids are on the take, and not all south FL recruits are "bag worthy".
We end up with mostly non bag worthy recruits down here (low 4stars and 3stars) and the rare few elite kids that aren't on the take (Duke, Lingard, Pope, Thomas etc...)
Lets just look at the 4 5stars I listed:
Duke - was always going to be a Cane no matter what (they don't make them like this anymore unfortunately)
Thomas - Our music program saved our asses here, and it was a good decision on his part, b/c he has definitely set himself up with "life after football" with the music connections he made here.
Pope - We straight up brought in Cooney to make sure we got him and he wasn't considered a 5star until late in the cycle like Duke.
Lingard - High character kid who shut it down early and there was no whiffs of anything shady in his recruitment like so many others.
It is pretty easy to point out the kids who are on the take, none of those that I mentioned seemed to have anything in their recruitment raise any red flags.
Go ahead and keep trying to make it seem like the Canes play in the bag game, it just shows that you are either a troll or you don't know **** about the Canes and you should post less and read more ya ******* newb.

A buddy of mine who coaches in another sport at the college level says he hates recruiting in Florida. He says before you can even get seated kids parents are asking about $$$$.

Miami has never been elite without getting top sfla talent. I know people will say they did but rankings r more accurate now. We used to get the top talent now schools know who can ball. This IMO is why we are down besides coaching as well but receuiting has alot to do with it.

People talk about finding hidden gems but let's be real. With the internet everybody knows who can play. We have to get elite talent to get to an elite level or have a coach like Gary Patterson.

I just dont believe we can recruit at a Butch level anymore until we find that HC. We will know one day very fast if a HC is foreal. We all knew Saban Jimbo and Kirby had what it took very fast based on the classes they pulled when they took over. Even Dabo was pulling the Sammy Watkins of the world when CU was an ok team.
You just knew those schools were on the right track. Oregon imo looks to be on the brink if they follow up another class like the class they had last cycle.

Eh, debateable. Look at the top players on the 01, and 90s teams. You'll find the a vast majority of our starters were non-sofla kids. We had a few sofla kids who were really good that were on those teams but outside of that, they were either OOS or in state kids. I say we have to have the RIGHT sofla kids rather than volume. We've never had a real large majority of our roster be sofla kids. Never, in fact - at least for our best teams.
There is a big difference between kids on the team getting some "extra benefits" (getting taken care of) like every school does, and straight buying recruits by dropping 6 figure bags, offering off campus housing for their family, new cars for them and their family, jobs for the family etc...

We are on that list b/c of our location and nothing else.
We don't come close to signing the same amount of high 4star and 5star guys those other programs do.
We are blessed to be located in the most fertile recruiting area in the galaxy, and get the benefit of getting on high 3stars early (and building that relationship) that turn into 4stars and the few occasions where the 4stars turn into 5stars late in the cycle (Duke & Pope).
If we were in the bag game, we wouldn't have lost Patrick Peterson (kid had grass from the OB growing in his room from when he was a youth and took the UiF bag pulling a "Dalvin Cook" and another one from L$U who he signed with) Josh Jobe AKA Sean Taylor Jr lol, Jerry Juedy (sister had just passed and mom was diagnosed with a bad illness but the Baga bag$ helped out more than him staying close to his family) Tyson Campbell (kid looked like he just eat a bowl of **** at his announcement) Dalvin Cook (brother was on our basketball team but everyone knew his family was after the bag$ hard and he ended up getting a little from Clem$on when he committed to them, got the idiot turds to pay up front and took their bag to Tallahassee and got another bag from them) Calvin Ridley etc...
But yes we play in the bag game, I'm just naive...

And can you blame the kids for not wanting to play for a team that wont put them into the best possible position for them and theres?(not talkin bout bags, draft stock). We have at this point not enough consistency for NFL scouts to respect. They see our defense as a system that gives kids bloated numbers at certain positions (can you argue that) and until our offense shows the ability to excell nationally, than put yourself in their shoes. I do think were on the verge. From a perspective of the defense its apples and oranges honestly. Any system makes star kids shine. Really is few defenses that just play a base 4-3 period and say go lock down that man. Offensively were creeping on the come up. We are innovative from a play calling perspective now. We just gotta execute and to do that line play needs to be competent.

If it makes you feel better were not far from being back in that same draw. Once we show we can win consistently and not as a fluke than we got a box to stand on. This team and this staff is built for us to win consistently.

The SEC methodically negated the NCAA's ability to regulate SEC teams. The NCAA is literally run by an SEC executive.
The Feds are the only entity that can close the Foundations.
Barring Florida and Vanderbilt (and maybe Georgia), diplomas from these schools are worthless. SEC schools need football to tie graduates back to the school. They produce so many graduates (5x more than UM) that they only need small contributions from each one. Alabama degrees are worthless outside of 3 states in the Union.
Our Company will only hire Industrial Engineers from UF. We also found that the Mathematics, Computer Science and STEM graduates from UCF are better than UF's. We did not believe it at first, but UCF prepares them much better than UF. We do not hire from Georgia. We favor Vanderbilt, but would never hire from any other SEC school other than Industrial Engineers from UF.

I agree with you. I've lived in Alabama my whole life. The fans are the worse and they would not tolerate having a NFL taking the shine from precious Tuscaloosa.
Texas A&M Degree is pretty solid especially in Engineering.

Actually, A&M seems to produce more motivated students that UT, which surprised us.
