Kid could be in trouble. He isn't a Criminole player anymore, so he is out of warranty on their protection program. Also, he is not a NFL star with big money, so he has not signed up to that insurance policy yet. Plus, he just isn't that good a player, so he could well join the cast of the next "Longest yard" movie as an extra.
