James Pierre decommits from Miami, flips to UNC

He's the type of "maybe he'll be good" coal shoveler Golden and his group of clowns was bringing in.

I'd rather him (and other like him) go elsewhere. That's one less potential scrub the new coaching staff is going to have to sift through.

Hope he takes the oos recruit with him, Pierre is actual a solid player but imo he can make a bigger impact at unc, smart move on his part

He will get more playing time at UNC.

But the top prospects shouldn't flip now because Miami is going hire a new coaching staff that is x2 better than the one they have now.

Im not familiar with Pierre as a player so i cant say if this will hurt but i do know we are thin in yhe secondary and can use all the bodies we could get.

Kid is over rated, and we are not going to miss him. I only want kids who want to be Hurricanes.
He has grade problems. From what I hear, he is a head case and has off the field issues.

Also, we aren't going to win a bidding war with the tar heals.

Dont forget, we only want "Team" players - -not primadonnas

I don't think any of our commits is rock solid right now. Most are 50-50 to sign with UM at best. I think they'er in wait n see mode and Pierre is probably holding a spot at UNC....jmo

Their are several players that are close to 100%. They are committed to the school, not Golden, and that is probably 70% of the class. So let's put to rest the melodrama.

Don't know why you're ranting because he didn't have a committable offer...

His high school coach said that he would be solid Cane Commit and not flip. Apparently that wasn't the case unless they are making room for a flip from J. Cook soon, so they encouraged him to look around.

The important thing to remember is how deep the 2017 class is.
