Yep. If we were the ones recruiting this guy and he had no FSU or UF offers guys would be skewering the coaches for taking a "project." The two guys we have are excellent QB recruits. People can sleep on Weldon, but once he gets back on the field people will see he's as talented as any QB in Florida this cycle.
 
rare arm talent. has all world potential if he's coached up properly.

would take him over casey's son. and, wouldn't think twice about it.

Honestly I would take Perry and Blackman over Perry and Weldon. Weldon has a lot to prove especially after not playing last year where Blackman was lights out and proved himself. Weldon has to work on not just relying on the deep ball. Not a big lost but I hate when kids like this go to other schools to potentially make other teams better whether its in practice or games. We need to get to a method where we are taking away potential starters for other teams and making our depth elite.

This. Taking a kid like Blackman makes sense when you have a certified stud like Perry committed.

Dont see Blackman playing over Baily Hockman and they have Malik waiting in the wings. bad move for him IMO. he could have went to USF or Louisville and balled but whatever.

FSUs Qb depth chart allows them to take a flyer on the kid. He is all upside and has time to develop.

Here's the trick to pretending to be a Canes fan: you have to let some things slide. A thread where Miami fans are laughing at FSU taking a 3 star South Florida QB Miami didn't want, you don't have to ride in and make excuses for FSU. Just let it go.

Yeah, I don't have any problem with dudes like TAMPA and tpres. It's weird, but you got to fill the void in your life somehow. For some people that means pretending to be the fan of a rival team and posting on their message board. And I don't think they are fooling anybody, so there's no harm. But eventually, you take it too far and people get bored/annoyed with you and that's how you get banned. These cats need to understand that sometimes, less is more.

Good point. Coaches like Saban and Jimbo do an excelent job of convincing kids that if they look at a depth chart that it means they are afraid of competition. This guy is way behind the power curve to see the field at FSU.

Honestly I dont understand why QBs are not waiting in line to play for Cutcliff. Zero depth and the guy coaches Manning every off season.
