He wasn’t terrible last year. He’s good for depth and seemed like one of the very few players to try.We should have paid nil to keep miller
Still a take at 6’1” 310. If he values academics & depth chart we have to be a top option here. It may come down to if he truly feels comfortable here or not. This is a nice developmental project and I hope we close.Below is a note on Howard from Sonny Ship of LSU’s 247 site. Remember my rule about knocking off an inch automatically for the OL/DL, lol. Kid is still a take, and hopefully after 2 years he could give us some good significant minutes. Our OL recruiting will help us with our young pups on the DL too as it ups the competition and talent level they are facing daily. We need this kid IMO, and still need another proven big man contributor for next season.
- “Ole Miss hoped to get him in for an official visit on the final weekend before National Signing Day next week, but Miami has locked that visit in. Along with LSU, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois were the other schools the one-time Wisconsin commit took officials to.
Some wonder if Howard’s trip to LSU and to Miami were due to sincere interest, and one nugget in particular points to that as Howard has a twin sister, who has inquired about potential enrollment across town at Southern. The two are close and would like to be close to one another in college, so that’s a step that needed to be taken.
LSU feels it made a good impression and is right there in the thick of it. A lack of young depth at the position was highlighted on the visit, as well as the fact that Brian Kelly and his staff put a strong emphasis on academics and graduating champions. That hit home, especially with his mother.
Howard is shorter in stature than the 6-foot-3 his profile lists him at, but sources said he looked thick and did not carry a lot of bad weight like one could easily assume a 310-plus pounder could carry for a guy under the 6-foot-2 mark. He checked those boxes, in addition to the others off thie field and on his game tape.
Miami missed out on some portal targets and will push their depth issues this weekend. That has some on that side of things feeling optimistic about their chances. We know NIL always comes up, but it does not sound like that is the driving force. However, we also know big opportunities arise and can change things quickly.
As one source from the Midwest put it, Howard could have signed early with either of the three Big 10 schools he visited. That is another sign that points to legitimate interest in the two schools farther from his home in Chicago.
We’ll continue to monitor things and talk to those also covering his recruitment from other sides, but Howard looks to be genuinely open heading into this final trip.”

He did. Mooyoung has a pic with him on his IG story. Looks like he and possibly Mesidor were his hosts.Did brodie even make it to campus, hes not listed on visits for 247 and his twitter doesn't say anything
Good insight from the opposition.
Another good thing is that, out of state tuition for Southern University, FAU, and FIU are comparable at roughly $18k each so his sister could attend any of them, but being in south Florida and the better quality of education FAU/FIU offer has tip the scale toward the good guys in green.
Go Canes
Mooyoung is a Chicago kid so this makes senseHe did. Mooyoung has a pic with him on his IG story. Looks like he and possibly Mesidor were his hosts.
