He forgot that you can make 30 good points in a row, but that is all forgotten as soon as you say something stupid, which is exactly what he did.

Not sure where you're going with this, but being a sports professional doesn't make you expert on anything other than.....sport.

Funny how society decided that if you can throw, catch or run with a ball your opinion is more meaningful. Same goes for other "entertainers", I don't care what you think. Being good at something does not correlate to being good at everything.

Sports figure opinions are more meaningful, and its not even debateable.
Their views can reach a much broader audience than the average person.

I don't know what he may have meant, but what he said was pretty clear and it was not, "Young men, you have a responsibility to your community to be strong, to strive for excellence". It wasn't anything like that. I'm not clear on how you know that's what he was trying to say when he so clearly didn't.
