Jalen Hurts visiting Sunday

We can give him something Maryland cannot, maximum exposer for nfl. Beat gator and he is sports center with The U. Who the heck ever talks about Maryland football?
He beats the Gaytors week 1 the hype comes back of him just being a winner and the showdown vs Clemson being next. You talk to many analyst and they'd say if we had Hurts this past year we would've ended the season as a top 10 at the very least

Hurts is a top 10 QB in college football. unfortunately he had a top 2 QB competing against him on his roster

He would probably start on any team in the country outside of Ohio state, bama, and Clemson

After last year he will get all the credit for what happens next year. If defense hold up and points start showing up, we can run the table and own the media until the title game with Clemson. Then it is all in time for all concerned, manny, hurts, our senior lbs, rest of team and the fans. Just a pipe dream but since we did hire Butch, we need a miracle.

Ok, so how did Hurts do against Venables?

Always laugh at people who say this, yeah look at the last couple of times we played Clemson. How’d that fare sparky? Some people think we go from 0 to 100 liggity split. We have to walk before we can run. First that means getting to the ACCCG. Then it’s being competitive and winning it. Hurts isn’t going to be the end all savior but he’ll get us in to the game. The rest then will be up to the other players and coaching staff.

How did Hurts do against Venables??????

If it wasn't for Watson and his brilliance Hurts would have had one of the most exciting game winning TD's in the History of CFB National Championships.

Would be nice to have someone like that in a hypothetical Miami-Clemson match- up in 2019..

I feel like Miami is a very good option for him. We play in a pretty weak division so getting to the conference championship game is a real possibility. Plus, familiarity with Enos has to be a biggie. Compare that to:
Maryland: no way they get into conference championship game in that division with OSU, Michigan, PSU, etc. Locksley familiarity a positive though.
Auburn: Tough to beat out Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M
Oklahoma: this one could be a good spot for him as well but I really don’t know much about who their projected starter is for next year? Would Jalen definitely get the starting job there or is there someone there who knows the system and may beat him out due to being ahead of him since they have been there practicing it already?

Another team apparently in the mix that I don't see anyone mentioning is TCU. Apparently, Hurts is following Gary Patterson and a couple TCU players on Twitter and some obscure gambling site called MyBookie gives them the best odds (prior to us landing Enos) of getting Hurts at +400 while Maryland and Miami were both +500.

TCU would be intriguing for sure

But gambling sites have been way off. A lot of them didn't include us at all which is strange even if we didn't have Enos

Agree. His #1 priority should be putting a great year on tape for the NFL. What better way to do that then working with the a coach you trust, in a weak division, and at a place where you can get some national exposure.

It would be so great to get Hurts but my guess is that he will most likely land at one of the other schools (Oklahoma, Auburn, Maryland). I’m still going to hold onto hope though until something is official.

Hurts will be at Miami if Miami wants him. It’s his best opportunity to start and continue to be coached by the guy that has done wonders to improve him. None of the other schools offer that.

Very good question an Oklahoma. The backup QB- Austin Tindal- put his name in the transfer portal yesterday, leaving OU with 2 scholarship QBs if he leaves. You have to wonder why- was he told Rattler will get the job? Was he told no guarantees he starts, even though he knows the system? Was he told they were going to bring in a grad transfer- maybe Hurts? Big questions.

So? He's meh.

I'd rather see Enos try and develop Jarren Williams

Jarren Williams will start his Freshman year in 2019! Plus he gets to work with a legit QB coach this year! Hurts doesn't mean Williams never plays a down of football!
