Jalen Hurts note

Stop looking at his football classification and take note of the fact that he was at Ohio Taint for 2 springs, 2 summers, and 2 falls (plus this spring if he stays enrolled at Ohio Taint). If if if he earned college credit as a HS student, he could conceivably be very close to graduation. Miami gave me 30 AP credits when I started school, thus I was a sophomore (by credits) on Day 1.

Bernie Kosar graduated from the UM School of Business, with a double major, in 3 years (back when summer coursework for athletes was very rare).

His enrollment periods (including this spring) at OSU probably reflect 6 full-time semesters. If he had a year’s worth of college credits from high school, that’s four full time years. Graduating this spring is possible for sure.

Regardless of if Martell can play next year, we'll have a legit competition and an actual QB coach. I think JW and the Cartel (if he can play) can do good things if they're coached up. From what I've seen with N'Kosi, I'm less confident. Either way though, our QB play can't be worse this year

Sounds like Enos previous offensive system require a QB to be able to think and react quickly. Will be interesting to see how Perry handles that - he struggled with reading the field this year. We have no idea how Jarren will do given he didn't get a shot to show anyone.

I don't know what Martell's course load has been or if he received AP credits in high school but he would have until May to finish his bachelor's program. That would be 2.5 years. Not impossible especially if he had AP credits.

I'm not ready to write off N'Kosi yet, but he certainly hasn't made a strong case for himself. Let's see how he does with an OC that (hopefully) will utilize his players' strengths.

Just read through the OU board update as of this morning. They know nothing. They have been told that Jalen is still evaluating all schools and does NOT have anyone on top, at least he hasn't told anyone anything to that effect.
They say they expect a decision by Thursday. OU of course thinks they logically must be the choice but there is nothing said or done that proves that yet. They do think that Miami and OU have the most friendly situations as far as current QB rooms for Hurts to walk into.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

We shall see very soon.

Kids take college classes in high school now. Not AP classes. I know my friend’s daughter just graduated after 2.5 years at Ohio University. She took college classes her junior and senior year of high school and went one summer semester. So, it’s possible.

Not in meltdown cause we got Martell but its crucial Martell plays next year cause I think Kosi is ruined and JW who knows with him. Smart move by Hurts cant blame him, lets start our own NFL pipeline with qbs build that trust and start turning this **** around.

Hey D. I remember watching your video after manny got hired and you said that you’d be able to predict how good manny is based on how he finishes this class. I know that we’ve missed on rique and Bogle but are you impressed by who Manny has been able to bring in?

best scenario is that we get both. hurts plays next year. very little learning since he was coached by enos and would be ready to go day 1.. Martell sits, learns the offense and is ready 2020. if Martell gets a waiver, he won't get here until may and miss all Spring practices to learn the new offense

Depends on how summer session is set up. Many schools have gone to 2 summer sessions, though you can't take a ton of credits. Entirely possible to get 24 credits over 2 summers.

Plus, I mentioned a UM program called Intersession. I got 6 graduate credits in 2 weeks (January 2 until when spring classes started) and then I got 3 credits over Spring Break Intersession. 9 grad credits in 3 weeks and it allowed me to finish my MBA in 1 year.

I have no idea if Ohio Taint has any programs like that, but they might.

If that's the case I see the possibility there. Of course I just figured that he was only a freshman, typically redshirt freshmen are still freshmen even if they started early. Which is rarely the summer 1.5 years before 1st season.

Hopefully he got those credits early though.

Otherwise I see another reason Thomas came back besides Tate.

You are getting better at this.
