Jalen Hurts is at OU

So it seems that Kendall entered the portal IN CASE OU lands Hurts. Here's a little more from their OU Insider board:


Spoke to sources at Bama saying, “Weird how fast he is rushing through these visits. Seems like he is trying to make a decision quickly.”
A source at TCU tells me, “TCU is feeling less confident, but TCU has had contact with OU QB Austin’s Kendall, as well.”
A separate source from TCU said, “We hear that Kendall is gone if OU gets Hurts. TCU would love to have Hurts because Justin Rodger may not be healthy until 2020.”


Austin Kendall is also a grad transfer. He graduated in 3 years and redshirted a year so he has two years left of eligibility. The feeling is that he is good enough to start but he wasn't THAT good that he could be close to beating out Kyler Murray last season.

Other posts from yesterday say that Riley is personally handling this. Supposedly on the phone much of the day with Hurts and his father. Supposedly Riley is selling him on his athleticism - they aren't interested in waiting until Spencer Rattler learns the system. Kid isnt enrolling until summer.

Given how the father handled the situation when Jalen got benched for Tua I bet he goes where he will be an instant competitor, not a team that needs to prove themselves.

Hurts is from TX, correct? If so, this might be an advantageous move for him. He'll play in a prolific style offense and be closer to home.

Btw, Spencer Rattler gotta feel some sort of way since they told him he'll be their only QB. Car salesmen at it's finest.

No that’s not true they got baywatch fair and square cause our o sucked and he didn’t want a city atmosphere.

Murray didn't come out of nowhere. He might be the best QB in Texas high school history. A&M was just the place that highly recruited QBs went to die when Sumlin was there. So he had to trasfer.

Car salesmen that landed a stud QB and might land the best QB transfer on the market....**** other fan bases have it made. All we get is #RespectMyDecision

Baker came from no where i dont even think he was ranked he showcased at TT and transfered. The other guy i know nothing of but OU does an elite job at coaching qbs since Riley took over. Elite

Murray was a 5 star out of HS

Being a Miami fan in this new era sucks thats how its been lets see if it changes under Diaz. If i see one respect my decision of a kid we should get im going to lose it
