Jaland Lowe Update

Guy was 3rd team all-conference this past year in the ACC at almost 17 per. Good assist numbers as well. Could care less about the 3 point percentage as long as we can get some shooters around him.

Would be a nice addition. I just hope his 3 point shooting last season was an outlier or a product of Pitt being horrendous. He's an elite FT shooter, so that usually translates to being at least solid from beyond the arc.
Was a 35% the year before, still not good...

My theory is that shot selection heavily skewed his 3 point % down. Idk how much help he had at Pitt, but he was probably asked to do a lot.

He probably settles in at 33% here at Miami.
They had a lot of guys that can shoot the basketball on that team. Shot selection may have been an issue but idk that it was because of surrounding talent.

How would you feel about pairing up Lowe and Silas Demary Jr as your guards

Reneu and Edeh as the bigs.

Tbd on that 3 spot. Maybe Hrzo

3 non-shooters on the floor together with no defensive three second, can’t see that going poorly at all.
There's certainly a theme here. I've been against adding Mister Dean because of how bad his shooting is. Now I think he'd fit right in.

Just a cadre of porsters that didn't like the hire/hate our AD

Ah, yes, the pernicious myth about hardcore Miami basketball fans attacking the coach immediately.

And, regardless, Radakovich needs to be fired. That's just a fact.

I need to watch some full games of all of them tbh. I like Demary. The kid from Stanford looks like he can play too, not that I’ve seen us linked to him.

Trying to keep an open mind but I just don’t like the idea of Reneau and Udeh together stylistically.

It would definitely be old school having two bigs with no range. But I think Reneau PnR game with Udeh's lob threat ability (holding the backside defense on a roll from rotating) can conceptually work. At least Udeh is not a weak big like Kidd.

I think Demery can shoot decently. Would be a pretty formidable guard lineup, and both are good defensively I believe.
