We had two guys out there last weekend and this was the feeling and what everyone in the building was told coming out of the weekend, that Barney would be committing to Miami.

I don’t get into the hedging game or play both sides of the fence and only share what I get told from the horses mouth. A lot of people were told Miami, this catches a lot of people by surprise too. Anyone who tells you that they knew he was going to Nebraska that is around the football program and close enough to it, they’re lying to you.

All I can think about is that one kid who ended up at Neb but literally started crying on signing day because he supposedly tried to flip back to Miami and we said naw. Was it the Francois kid?

Regardless, Barney is the least of my concerns. Now, once I see what Lightfoot, Stewart, Scott, Breland, Trader, Stone, etc (i.e whales) then I’ll be concerned. Actually, if imma keep it solid, I won’t be concerned, I’ll be something else; hopefully, moving fwd the whales we were promised come to fruition & a recruitment like this will be a footnote.

Maaaaaan CIS should pay me for how much work and effort I put into telling people here that, there's no such thing as a Cane Lock. Like it really do irks me in real life to see people still believe and type that lol

U’re making a post based upon irrelevant, outdated data. IF this was the same coaching regime, ur point would be valid, but this is a new coach, a new coach who turned around a horrid Temple program into a perennial 10+ win program, just to turn around a cluster fck of a Baylor program into a 10+ win program.

Yes, he sucked at the NFL level, and so did Saban. What Rhule is going to sell is his product at the collegiate level, & the skill players he’s had drafted. Mario sold his pedigree at UO in the class of 2022, and the future to the class of 2023. In 2024, it’s gone be a lil different, b/c we are coming off a 5-7 season.

There’s been an overhaul of the staff, but a lot of unknowns right now. So, sure the class of 2024 is going to be more leery, b/c what worked for 2022, & 2023 might not exactly work for 2024, which is y my nerves have been beyond irked for continually bringing up those classes. It’s not the same, the honeymoon is over. Rhule is in the honeymoon stage, and he has two programs he can point to, just like Meyer was able to do, just like Saban was able to do. Rhule has like 4 WRs committed to him right now.

So remove the 4-8 narrative out ur mind, & remove location from discussion. If location was the determining factor, then USC & Miami would always be 1&2 or 2&1 in recruiting every season: instead, we see bum fck America college towns flooding their toothless cities w/ a blue chip near u.

If the bag was sizeable enough it doesn't matter. People here talk about the SoFLA diva & the disloyalty of the local coaches/handlers when trying to wrap their heads around why we lose kids like this. It's all economics. He likely wanted to choose Miami, but when you're a poor family living in SW Miami Dade during a recession with rampant inflation it sets the stage for big spenders to poach if we aren't willing to spend. Winning on field will always help but bags will always help more. A coaching staff developing you for the league, enjoying winning seasons, facilities, education is all great but it's not comparable to boosters putting 5 or 6 figures in your checking account and having your mother's rent paid. Start paying up or rinse & repeat.

I could care less about this kid but that literally sounds like Manny's recruiting. Amateur hour at Hecht still apparently.
