So, he's gonna leave UGA because Fromm took his job & Fields is on board, only to come to Miami just to sit behind Rosier/Perry/Weldon?

That's not how this works. A 5-star kid like that is gonna go somewhere where he's guaranteed to start.

Plus, that would **** things up for us, we take Eason you can bet money Perry will split & Eason doesn't have anywhere near Perry's upside.

Being better than Sitkow means nothing, that's not an accomplishment.
 
assuming he transfers here, rosier plays in 18 while he sits that season, so he's a redshirt sophomore in 19. i don't think sits is going to offer a serious challenge for kosi, so there are no proven or confidence-inspiring backups available. i would rather have a solid quarterback challenging kosi for that spot than what looks to be a mistake in sitkowski. also don't want to end up in fsu's situation.

side question:

is everyone assuming that Rosier returns for senior season? maybe Rosier leaves this year if the draft potential is there or he thinks Perry will win the job

That's dumb as **** man, I mean real dumb. You think he's that soft? Hasn't even battled the guy for a job and jets?

Were Eason to beat him out of the job down the road, then it makes sense. I would have no problem with it either since it would mean we were starting the more capable quarterback.

Yes, you take him if he wants to come one day. He was Richt's top target at UGA and unless his opinion on the young man has changed, you can bet he would love him on this roster.

Edit: I agree somewhere with a better chance to start makes sense. Somewhere out west, say Washington or Washington State since they're both decent programs.

I love Perry, but both have a ton of upside. Talent wise, both will move to the next level in my estimation.

It's got nothing to do with soft & everything to do with Modern era QB game in college football.

Highly rated kids ain't waiting for 3 years to get their shot, if we took Eason that would be sending a message that Richt doesn't believe in him & would be counter to everything he was told when he recommitted to us.

If Richt brought in a former 5-star QB who actually started as a TF at UGA, that would be practically begging Perry to leave.
 
Should go play for that pirate up north in Washington St. He will get the man some touchdowns haha
