“It was a really good visit,” Cantwell said. “One unique thing about it is that I was one of the first high school recruits to sit down with the university president. I also loved seeing all the different types of practices and lifts they did over the span of a few days.”

I read on sports illustrated that this is basically a Miami/Oregon Battle. Dan Lanning is from his home state and his favorite coach, but think Mario/Mirabal are the best oline coach (coaches) in cfb football, he’s set to make his decision in August. One thing I thought was funny, he visited Miami in March will visit Oregon in June, guess the whether is not ideal in Eugene huh 🙌🏿

PS: if he’s business decision, it’s Miami

Would love to believe we can land him and Pepe but I still think he goes elsewhere and we land Pepe.

If Mario and Mirabal went to FSU, and my son played OL I’d send him there. I don’t think it’s a homer take at all to say they offer the best path to the NFL compared to any OL coach duo in the game.

Jackson has a chance to break the national shot put record this year. Before his junior year he’s already one of the greatest high school throws in US history. Football is where the money is but this kid has Olympic champion potential in the Shot.

First ever sophomore to throw over 70 feet. His PR is just under 75 feet. The HS record is 81feet
That's what no one seems to comprehend factors into this kids recruitment and where I'd say we're at a severe disadvantage. Kids a monster in shot put. If you're not relevant in track and field nationally it's probably gonna hurt.

While we may not have a great overall track program, we actually have a very good throws coach (Cory Young) who by the way has known and had a personal relationship with Jacksons parents for some time now. ;)
**** that’s good to know
