OK so the question I have is, who is the guy (or who are the guys) out there looking like a competent recruiting staff finding these hidden gems and late potential takes like this kid, Plumlee, etc.? Almost looking like someone knows what they're doing.

Quick get-off, 350 motor, built to play right now. Do want.

Jon Garvin
Greg Rousseau
(maybe) Patrick Joyner
Scott Patchan
Jahfari Harvey
Cameron Williams

This is out of control worrisome.

IMO, this unit needs a Grad Transfers and a freshman or two freshmen. This is dangerous, especially when coupled with DT. Wow.

You did the same last year before the season and what happened? With the new transfer portal in play and some grad transfers we should be okay. The style of play isn’t going to change so guys will always be productive in the system

We are a Garvin or Rousseau injury away from having to rely on a 215 pound true freshman in Harvey... we need more bodies.

For sure, going to have to work the transfer market. Need to close on that UCLA dt who was much more productive in their system in 2017 compared to 2018.

LSU (156 rush yards), BC (223 yards), GT (230 yards), Duke (146 yards), and Wisconsin (333 yards) is a major problem. You can look at TFL and sacks all you want and those are nice...but any time a team really wanted to line up, hat on hat, on us, Miami was run over.

This is a glass half full statement, gt was an option offense what else were they going to do?

Yes Miami got ran all over by Wisconsin and Bc no argument from me on that.

LSU and duke
41 rushes 156 3.8 ypc( 50 yards or so was on 1 run)
Duke
30 rushes 149 yards 4.9 ypc(70 plus yards on 1 run)

Those 2 games are considered terrible?

We were 7-6...and in most of those losses Miami was run over and couldn't hold the line of scrimmage.

What are you arguing? Miami's line is not up to par. How you would waste a reply to suggest otherwise is weird. Did you not see what the standard on the DL is in CFB last night? It ain't trotting out Scott Patchan for 600 snaps in a season, pal.

Who has said anything about Scott patchan, I said He was good as a 3rd or 4th de, I’m glad to see he was able to make it through a season healthy. what other dline is comparable to Clemson’s? No ones... even bama dline was shut out. But they were vulnerable at times too this year just like everybody else. By the end of the first quarter bama had 210 yards. And for the most part ran at will against Clemson front. The only one on their dline making plays for bama front was quinnen Williams. They didn’t have any sacks or anything like that. Isiah Buggs didn’t do anything and neither did Raekwon Davis

This isnt excaclty true. When we did give up big running games it was because of 1 to 2 runs that broke free. The only games we really got dominated at the line where bc and Wisconsin.

And the Duke play was on a play where half the defense quit because they thought the kid was down in the pile.

Would like to have no less than 7 DE’s and DT’s. 8 at each spot would be nice.
